Great food. We got the sirloin tips and barbecue pulled pork sandwich. Servers checked up on us a lot which was nice. Food came out fast and the buns were great to eat before the food arrived. Very friendly place. The free peanuts were cool too! I used to come here as a kid and they would let us throw the shells on the ground. I’m not sure if you can do that anymore but it’s still very unique.

We decided to celebrate a birthday dinner here on a Friday night. We knew it would be busy, so we signed up for the wait list. When you arrive, you text the number and they will text you when your table is ready. This was very nice, especially since the front entrance is always so crowded. I think they should continue this in the future. Our party of six first ordered the cactus blossom starter to share. This is a huge golden fried onion with cajun dipping sauce. The sauce was very good. The onion was pretty good, a little greasy when you bit into it however. I ordered the 8oz thick cut new york strip. I opted for the thick cut, to lessen the chance of overcooking - I like my steak medium rare. The steak was cooked pretty much as it should be. I case with a choice of two sides, I chose the mushrooms and onions with a side of steamed vegetables as well as a caesar salad. The caesar salad was very good as expected. The mushrooms and onions were great as well. My biggest issue came with the steamed vegetables. They consisted of broccoli and carrots. The carrots were still completely raw - should have been steamed for at least 5-10 more minutes. The broccoli for some reason tasted so bitter, I couldn't eat it. I would not recommend that as a side. The others at our table ordered were satisfied with their meals. As always the buns and cinnamon sugar butter was great. We had to wait quite a while before the waitress refilled them the few times. She was a great waitress however and we enjoyed her service. From ordering our food until we received the entres, it was about 40 minutes, which felt a little long. We will go back, it was a good experience overall.

Expect a long wait, but only because the food is good and everybody wants to eat it. The Chicken Critters with BBQ are fantastic. The fish fry with White Fish is really good, too. For sides, the sweet potato is really good, but make sure you top it with the marshmallows and honey cinnamon caramel. The mashed potato is good, too, but again, load it up for the extra money. This is a place that is worth adding the extras to the sides. And of course, they have a range of steaks if that's what you are looking for.

Food was great! The side dish of rice tasted like they put way to much rose Mary in it. Waitress was awesome and I told her so with a nice gratuity. Highly recommend. Very busy business wait time was 45 minutes but worth every minute. All the waitresses and waiters were and stayed super busy. Hope they all made good tips!
