My daughter wanted pasta she googled and found this place. The food was Amazing this was truly fresh authentic pasta . I like it better than Olve Garden at this point. The atmosphere was great and the music excellent they played a variety of Motown hits and they make fresh pasta Daily. I have not ate since 130 it’s 915 pm the meal was that fulfilling
Wonderful food and great attentive service. The father's day special was delicious. I can't recommend this place enough.
The menu is limited. If you love Italian pasta, you will enjoy this small restaurant short distance from the state capitol complex.
I didn't see alcohol on the menu but our next table had a bottle of wine (BYOB??). It would be nicer if wine is offered. I had San pellegrino sparkling drink - sans alcohol.
Went with a large group. All the food was good. The pasta amazing! The protein in the pasta was a tad flavorless but the homemade pasta made up for it. BYOB so plan ahead for the wine to go with dinner.
Always looking for a restaurant with good homemade pasta, Pastorante did not disappoint.
I had the special of the day which was a fusilli (rotini) with shrimp, asparagus, and sun dried tomatoes. IMO the pasta was a bit overcooked but it held its shape. The shrimp and asparagus, however, were perfectly cooked. I'm not a fan of sun dried tomatoes but those were easy to eat around (I didn't know they were in the dish) and the lemon creme sauce was light and flavorful.
I also had the stuffed mushrooms with pancetta and mozzarella. They were okay. The mushrooms were flavorful but I couldn't taste the pancetta and there was too much mozzarella which was overwhelming.
The absolute best part of the meal was the espresso creme brulee. It was AMAZING! I highly recommend it! With the perfect amount of coffee flavor, this was the perfect treat to end the meal.
Stuffed mushrooms, side Cesar salad, pasta dish, and creme brulee = $36. Good value for the amount of food.
I was really impressed by the quality of food here. We had the bruschetta and the meatballs with garlic bread to start. Both had great flavor. For the entree I had the special, which was a rigatoni with sausage and peas in a lemon cream sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce tasted fresh and light. Overall the flavors were that of a high end restaurant, but in a casual eatery. I will definitely return to eat here again. It's my new favorite restaurant in the area.
This place has a unique name, but it says so much! It's a very cozy place. The service is top notch, and family oriented. The menu is extensive with pasta an other quality Italian dishes.
Tell Karla I sent you! An ask for the Shuan' Mac & cheese dish! You will not be disappointed! This place is worth a trip just to Harrisburg!
Can’t believe it took us so long to get here! Ordered the meat lasagna and their special of the day which was shrimp with asparagus in a sun dried tomato pesto sauce. WOW for both dishes. The fresh pasta is so soft, the sauces so fresh, and the sausage in the lasagna had a mild smokiness that was delicious. Finished off with tiramisu, which was done right. We will return soon to try the ox tail ragu!
I’ve been to Italy twice and compare every Italian meal to that experience. If that is what you are seeking, this place is top notch. Fresh ingredients, simple, and leaves you feeling full and satisfied and not over indulged. American food has a way of overcompensating for being lack luster but pastorante doesn’t disappoint if you’re seeking an authentic experience. Also, if chef is working he cooks me carbonara which is absolute perfection!
