Stopped here because IHOP was swamped. Had a good meal, friendly service. Typical diner fare. Enjoyed our meals. Breakfast and other diner foods available.
Always very good food. Had the cream of crab soup. Nice thick base,excellent flavor and plenty of crab throughout. London broil sandwich was very tender and a soft hoagie roll. Would of proffered maybe onions instead of mushrooms still full of flavor and there fries are very good to.
Great food!. Great food and great service. we took our 3 daughters to eat here and loved it. Burger was "yummiest" my 6 year old said:)
After traveling and stopping at several terrible places in PA, we were all relieved when Capitol Diner served us a yummy breakfast. Very nice diner. Will stop again next time through.

Good diner experience. Crab cakes were tasty although a little overcooked. Green beans were a disapointment but the rice pudding was very good. Contrary to our expectations based upon previous reviews, the staff was friendly and efficient. We would certainly return to this newly redecorated restaurant.
Good food, cool lobby. But they wouldn't substitute iced tea for the hot tea which was included with the standard special. So I made it myself :-)
I love the food. Hate the service. Almost like a Jersey Diner (still the best). Really have to do something about the staff.. But when you want diner food, who really cares. This is the only real short order place around here.
Not bad for a diner. After arriving late in Harrisburg we were informed that after 10 pm our only choice for dinner was waffle house or capital diner. Capitol diner it was. Very shiny/clean 50ish looking. Service was pretty slow to non existent except to bring our drinks and 30 mins later our food. That being said, the food was pretty decent for a 24 hr diner and there were a surprising number of selections, some very atypical of diners (eggplant Parmesan??). We stuck with some safe diner choices and with good conversation making the wait pass quickly we were satisfied
Delicious food! The plates are good portions and taste very good. The service was excellent, specially our waitress Lora. Even she was super busy and rush, always have a smile and take good care of our orders. Definitely coming back on next vacations!
Fast service! Breakfast was good. The toasted rye bread was exceptional....def an artisian bakery bread of some sort. Hashbrows were amazing - had a nice crisp to them and not soggy! A little pricey...a cup of coffee was almost $3. Not the best breakfast I have had but not the worst!
If you're looking for authentic, good diner food look no further. We were staying at a nearby hotel and ate here twice because it was so good. Service was excellent too!

They actually serve properly prepared corn beef hash! 😀

Had a wonderful experience! The design of the diner is spectacular at sunset. Neon, “chrome”, and glass blocks, ’nuf said! Everyone was very friendly, even though busy on Saturday night. I enjoyed a perfect Cajun burger, perfectly cooked to my specifications. I concluded the meal with a delicious dessert, Baklava Cheesecake and coffee. I would definitely return!
The service was good but the food was even better. The French toast, Buffalo wings, sweet potato fries, are just a few of my favorite. The kids menu came with a beverage, and dessert.
Restaurant was super clean and the food was amazing. Our waitress Chris was excellent!! She met all of our needs before we even had to ask. She really was the perfect waitress, super friendly, helpful with the menu, and stayed on top of our needs. We would definitely go back just to see her. The portions were large and the food came out great. Overall it was a great experience!
