I was so excited to hear about this place opening up downtown Harrisburg. I tried it last week and really liked it. I got the poke ahi Tuna bowl, the flavors were so good and it was decent portion size, lots of protein! They even added an extra topping for me no problem. The drinks were a little pricey. I am already craving another poke bowl.
I had been eying this place for a few weeks. Finally decided to try it after I saw it featured in TheBurg magazine. I went with the "build your own bowl" option and it was fantastic. The combo I came up with had a delicious mix of flavors and it was just enough food to fill me up. I would definitely eat here again!
Wow— the service— I’ve never seen anything like it. Everyone was all smiles and so welcoming when we walked in the door. The food was also really, really great. Will definitely be back.
Great Poke Bowl Restaurant if you need a quick in and out or to go or just sit down and enjoy the atmosphere while eating a delicious healthy food this is the place to go in Harrisburg, PA. Totally recommend it, available street parking with park i meter in the area.
We had 2 bowls:
-Freshido Special.
-Turf & Surf.
It's a brand new restaurant opened just over 1 week and half ago. If you've been to Kondu at the Harrisburg Mall, this shouldn't be a stranger to you. If not, just think of Chipotles and Moe's Southwest Grills where you go through an assembly line to build your own -- EXCEPT you probably won't recognize many of the ingredients. Fear not! There are a few "Signature" ready-made recipes you can choose from. You can also be adventurous and pick everything or anything. Can't go wrong really. Just stay away from tuna/salmon if you cannot eat them raw. (Suggestion to Freshido: putting a label in front of each ingredient would go a long way.)
Unlike Kondu, even though the menu offers the Poke-rritos (burritos) option, 30 out of 30 people I saw on this visit ordered Poke Bowls. I find it remarkable that not a single soul ordered Poke-rrito. I was no exception -- but for me it was for the same reason I order Earmuff burrito bowls at Moe's: it's less messy and better value, IMO.
I went at the peak lunch hour today and the line wrapped around. It looked really long but it moved along really nicely. I got my turn after around 10 minutes. I built my own bowl with white rice and 2 scoops of salmon sashimi as choice of protein, plus a dozen others (see photo). It was fresh, healthful and tasty (right, downright Hawaiian). For $9.95, I think they've priced it to perfection. Any higher they'd probably price themselves out of the lunch crowd. Another thing I really like about this place is that they offer noticeably more ingredients than Kondu for the same price. For me that's enough of a catalyst for me to add an extra star. I would recommend it.
Literally my favorite restaurant! The flavors are incredible and the service is honestly even better! It’s so hard to find such a perfect combination in a restaurant atmosphere! Thank you guys!
We enjoy their poké bowls, which are very healthy & moderately priced. $2.95 drinks.
This was my first time here. The menu was quite overwhelming for me. There's plenty to choose from! I ordered the Ahi Tuna Bowl as is and added wasabi peas. Man, it was super fresh and delicious. I'm not a small dude and I'm full. Looking forward to my next trip!
