To say that Angie’s Diner and Lounge is spectacular is the understatement of the century. If you are looking to experience the Pennsylvania culinary culture that thrives in the local restaurants and can only find most times by pure chance you can do no better than Angie’s. It is right next to the Best Western I stayed at and is quite literally a two minute walk away. My first time swinging open the doors I was greeted by a pseudo 1950’s neon bar/restaurant feeling. You seat yourself and are immediately greeted by friendly staff who are happy to assist you and are quite courteous. Their menu is vast, filling the margins of the pages with every hearty and mouth watering form of sustenance you can imagine. I myself am prone to spice so my experience while limited in the scope of variety I can say for certain that if you are a lover of all that is spicy the extra hot wings are a fantastic challenge. The burgers are especially delectable at the medium well option. Sauces including the marinara, hot sauce, and barbecue appear to be homemade and provide a great addition to any dish. I had the great honor of meeting the owner who was manning the floor on my first night eating at Angie’s. A kind individual who obviously cares about the guests and their experience at the restaurant. If the owner does ever see this review please know that in my entire life I have never had a more pleasant and heart warming experience in a restaurant than I did at your establishment. Thank you for providing the ultimate dining experience.
We found Angie's Diner simply by looking up restaurants in the area of our hotel. Glad we chose it! It's a small diner with booths and counter seating. The host / manager / waiter... whatever he was... was awesome. He was like a one man show with a bubbly and fun personality. Food was good and plentiful, but the best was the homemade cheesecake, smooth and creamy, so delicious. We really enjoyed ourselves here. Definitely recommend!
I really dig the vintage look. Very friendly staff and atmosphere not to mention the fact that the food was good. Sunday morning I had breakfast at the Capital Diner, I enjoyed it I ordered French toast with home fries and scrapple. Monday morning at Angie’s diner I ordered the same thing. Angie’s breakfast was better. Capital is good but I thought Angie’s was better. Try it out , it’s on Eisenhower blvd in Harrisburg 👍🏻
