Bizzell's Restaurant Hartsville

Updated review: Could not have had a better dinner. Our food, and service this time, was amazing. Photos posted of what we ordered - the maple glazed salmon, Angus steak and key lime pie. Everything came out quickly and tasted delicious. Our waitress was nice and prompt. We will definitely be coming back! Old review: Three stars because the food is good (4-5 stars) but the service is terrible (0-1 stars). My table ordered two appetizers: fried pickles and crab dip; three entrees: house salad, spinach salad, and shrimp and grits; one side: broccoli salad; and two desserts: chocolate cobbler and creme brule. I had asked if the broccoli salad had onions, and that if it did, I wouldn't want it. Our waitress brought out the pickles, but no crab dip and no explanation of where it was. Not too long after, she brought one salad and the shrimp and grits, along with the broccoli salad side. She explained that the side had onions, and then asked if I wanted it, to which I told her no. I asked where our other appetizer was and she said that it was in the oven and would be a while, to which I said that we no longer wanted it. There was no warning that this app would take so long, or that it may come out after our food. I've never had someone tell me an app was coming out after our food. Aside from various other mishaps in service, the restaurant's phone at the hostess desk is turned up extremely loud and it is very obnoxious while you're eating. It's a shame, because it's one of Hartsville few non-chain nicer restaurants.

Great place for a tasty dinner. I love the holiday decorations, real poinsettias, and Christmas music.
