Great tunes, great atmosphere, cool kid hangout. There is no finer music venue in Hattiesburg.
This is one of my favorite local pubs. The bartenders are extremely quick, efficient, and friendly to the customers. The drink options are superb, as are the prices. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and if there is a live band playing, there is plenty of room for you and your friends on the show floor. What are you still doing here reading this review?? Go already!!
Always had a great experience here, whether it was food or for drinks. The front patio has plenty of tables to sit outside when the weather is nice. The back section is great for seeing live shows. The food menu has a nice variety from salads, veggie burgers and hummus to traditional burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches. I always love stopping here when in town.
Great space! We saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show and it was fantastic. It was busy so one of the bartenders was wound a little tight and made us feel like we were intentionally not paying our tab. We were planning on getting more drinks but he kind of ruined it for us. It didn't ruin the experience of the show and we will be returning for more shows in the future!
A great place to grab a bite to eat on your lunch break. The staff is friendly. The food is quick and amazing. My favorite is the whiskey pimento burger. Also, they take call in orders and will usually have it ready in under 15 min.
It's my guilty pleasure to visit Thirsty Hippo when I am in Hattiesburg. They found a way to make burgers tasty, interesting and just right size to make you want to come back time after time. There is always a good selection of local and regional craft brews on tap, together with respectable representation of usual staples. Bartenders know their craft in mixed drinks to satisfy any taste. Highly recommended...
Overall the place is great to have a few drinks and kick back after a long week. The brands they have for beer range from local to national and are often different from week to week. I would definitely recommend seeing a band here as well.
Mason is a great bartender. I've always enjoyed the new hippo. The best food option is the veggie J burger. Never disappointing. And the entertainment is great.
