My husband travels for work, so we have tried many, many restaurants. With that being said, this has to be the absolute best buffet! You will not find a better selection on a seafood buffet in the country! And if you have a smaller appetite, they have an excellent menu selection. My oldest daughter is extremely picky, but she LOVES their grilled catfish fillets! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Macks on the River was excellent for the price!!Food was prepared superbly and seasoned just right, even down to the Frog legs!😊 They have a plethora of food choices... I didn't ask who the gentleman was who greeted us; I think it was the owner, but he was very personable and made us feel right at home! Our waitress was awesome she returned to the table in excellent timing and was very friendly and responsive! If ever I travel to Hattiesburg again, I will return! Thank you for a wonderful experience. I'm a seafood lover and it was worth every penny! The scenery was serene and beautiful as well.❤️
We were camping at Paul B Johnson State Park and wanted some great fried catfish and this place did not disappoint. The buffet is a sampler of simple southern comfort food done right! Our favorites included the whole fried fish, fried oysters, boiled and fried shrimp, collard greens, black eyed peas, squash, and tasty desserts. The restaurant had large seating capacity, was very clean and staff was very nice.
Had a awesome time there. Plenty of food on the seafood platter and the food was delicious. 1st time there!
I can rave about how awesome the food is. But it won't be good enough. If you haven't ever eaten here, you should. As I said, the food is awesome. The staff is great. I would say it's the best buffet.
Was pretty pricey for what they had on the buffet. I'm assuming due to covid their prices went up. So if you're looking at the menu online and see the prices, add about $12 to that. Other than that the food was good.
Billboards say check it out. People talk about it. So we checked it out. Two (2) buffets and two (2) meals off the menu. The desserts were delicious. Fried filets, fries, grits, shrimp, crawdads, chicken strips I believe. The first buffet I've enjoyed since 03/2020. If in Hattiesburg I will return.
