This is a Phenomenal hidden gem in Hayward!! Loved everything about it!!!
Had an absolutely lovely time today at The Golden Tea Garden. The owner was very pleasant and seated us promptly. We were offered many different tea choices and varieties of plates to enjoy. Three of us chose three different teas, and three different services so we could share and enjoy the variety. We were not disappointed. The teas were delicious, and all the variety of scones and sandwiches were delectable! The atmosphere was nice, and parking in a lot across the street was a breeze. We go to many tea houses, and will certainly be returning to this one very soon!
Took a friend here for a birthday surprise. It was a quaint, elegant place. They didn't get the reservation I attempted to make but still managed to fit my friend and me in. The decor is beautiful including the fountain and the bone china on the table. My only drawback was the lack of staff (I know the place is small but there is no excuse for having only two full-time servers. One was sick the day we went which made the wait for everything extra long) and don't try to split your order between two people or be expected to pay an extra $10 over the order price
