This place is awesome and the food is so delicious. The staff is friendly and the service was excellent. The place even had a wait of about 10 minutes. We will be going back again and again and again!!!!!
It's okay. Decent value for what you get. So few German restaurants in the area that I clicked "like" just because it's German. I had the sampler platter. Schnitzel was very tough, the breading gummy and stuck to the meat like glue. Rouladen were tasty but nothing rolled up inside the beef. Kind of odd. The sauerbraten said it was marinated for a week but it surely didn't taste like it. The sauce was too sweet and was poured over the beef after it was plated. Roast potatoes were very good. Likewish cabbage and kraut. Spaetzle was very good. Struedel not so much. Waiter was terrible. Took forever. Personality of a wet noodle. He might have a bright future as a grocery bag boy but not waiter material.

Loved it! Hadn't had German food prior to this. We got there at open for dinner and by the time we left there wasn't a seat in the place! Absolutely delicious food! You must try this place!
What a great find! Quality German cuisine is hard to find- this place does it very, very well. The service was excellent, the food exquisite, and the decor fun and appealing. Definitely plan on coming back!
Good Food and Service. Not knowing that much about German cuisine though I must say it was very good. Not so many people there on a Tuesday Evening. The service was good and the waiter knew all the answers to the dishes we ordered. We started with the Heidelberg Salad which not we are not real familiar with Germen food but this salad was amazingly good. My wife had the Beef Roulade, she said was good and very tasty but the beef was just a tad tough but she did eat most of all she had. I enjoyed the Wiener Schnitzel with lemon with a side of German style potatoes which was very good. The portions were just the right size not too pricey all in all I can say 8 of 10. Try the Haus you should like as we did. Next time it’s the sausage sampler. I know the Schnitzel should be veal but this pork dish was very good.

Great food, authenic german service. The food here is unapologetically authentic. They have incredible high quality food at wonderful prices. The platters, that may seem expensive at first, are made up of huge portions. The spaeztle is fluffy and delicious, and the sausages are all yummy. You must try the home made kraut. The service is just ok, because the waitress that is usually their has the typical frosty German personality. But, if you can get over that, you will enjoy this restaurant. Come for the food, try to bear with the service.

Great Authentic German Food. I've always liked Haus Heidelberg, and I wasn't disappointed when I went back recently for the first time in about ten years.
Everything was just as I remembered, home-made spetzle and hand pounded weinerschnitzel with a wonderful gravy.
Haus Heidelberg has an outstanding German beer selection as well as an extensive wine list.
It's a small place, and not particularly romantic, but it is a tasty place to eat. There is a corner booth that is a bit more private if you need such.
They have an extensive list of sausages, some of which are usually on the monthly special.
For authentic German food in a casual environment, Haus Heidelberg is hard to beat.
Food was delicious. Savory and rich in a very good way. Great environment and service. We tried many things, and it all went well beyond our expectations.
Our server, Matt, was awesome! He ran the entire floor by himself!

The food was superb. Every dish we ordered was delicious! We had the Jagerschnitzel with roasted potatoes , Helge’s Rueben with the hot potato salad,German tomato soup, another Helge’s Rueben with the Spatzle, the Lentil soup with franks, and a Haus Heidelburger. After this feast , we still made room for dessert and had Helge’s Apple Strudel and Pfirsisch Peach Melba! Both were absolutely fantastic!
Service by Matt was attentive, helpful, and friendly! He certainly did a lot to make our visit amazing!

I stopped there with my husband, in the middle of a road trip, and we were so happy to stop at Haus Heidelberg, there food was incredible, the best tomatoes soup I ever had, from the beginning to the end everything was super tasty!!

This was our second visit to Haus Heidelberg. Both times were amazing. The atmosphere is fun, the staff friendly and helpful and the food tremendous. We had the potato pancakes to start and they were perfection! Then we had a sausage platter and the Jagerschnitzel. Both were prepared perfectly and delivered hot from the kitchen. I almost forgot the salads, they were amazing. The pickled cucumbers were the sour to the carrots sweet. Really well done. We’ll be back.
We were here with our son who was visiting. He loves German food, but his wife doesn't. She was not with him this trip. We didn't realize that reservations were suggested, but we lucked out and a table was available. The server was excellent and very attentive.
We’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time! Glad we did. We got the Sampler for 1 and the sausage sampler and shared both and we still have enough leftovers for lunch today. Super yummy!!!

Made reservations last min for an anniversary dinner, asked for booth in the back. When we arrived the coziest booth was waiting for us. Everyone was friendly, adorable atmosphere, such a great vibe with yummy smells and happy people. This place was packed yet still cozy and homey. I had the sausage sampler and hubby had the sampler platter, everything was wonderful! The deli attached is such a great idea - you can get their homemade sausages to cook at home as well as sauces, chocolates etc. We live an hour away but are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Haus Heidelberg and our lovely waitress (red hair) for making our anniversary dinner very special! 🩷
This German restaurant has excellent food. They have sandwiches and plate meals. The lentil soup is fabulous. The ruben sandwich was excellent. The hot German potato salad was interesting but good. Don't expect it to remotely taste like American potato salad though. We had great, friendly service. It is a small restaurant but has a friendly old world casual atmosphere. Parking is available in the front and back.
