Mike’s on Main is the perfect spot for some comfort food! The atmosphere is very kitschy and fun — you feel like you’re back in the 1950s. The service is wonderful as well. We had Randy and he was very personable and gave us the best recommendations. All of our sandwiches were delicious and filling. It’s simple food but done very well. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area!
We parked on the outskirts of town and walked in without parking fees (new parking fees in downtown Hendersonville ). Great atmosphere of an old diner/soda shop. Tastey chocolate malt but small for the cost. All sandwiches came with chips unless you add french fries for $2.50 more (each sandwich no fries $12.99 avg). Very delicious food. Mike's on Main Street is absolutely worth a look. The meticulously maintained building, on the corner of N. Main St. and 3rd, is the former Justus Pharmacy, which opened in 1890 and operated until 1990s. The interior retains much of the pharmacy/soda fountain's historic character. And they still serve food.
Definitely outdated (I know it is vintage based) by outdated, I mean the tables are quite wobbly, decor is filthy, floors could be a bit better maintained.
Now, the service was amazing, so VERY welcoming and super fast. Very prompt with food delivery, drink refills, and to go box. The service was just great. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. Great first time experience, we would go back.
I ordered the ham and cheese omelet with potatoes and biscuits. Hubby ordered a bacon and cheese omelet with potatoes(with peppers and onions) and white toast. The bill was about $27 total. We both had drinks as well.
Very, cool nostalgic atmosphere. Live music out front on patio, Saturdays noon-2pm. Food was tasty. Staff was friendly. We had a fabulous lunch!
Had breakfast here on a Saturday. Lovely service, reasonable prices, all our food was on point. Retro decor was fun but a little over cluttered in my opinion. A little Marie Kondo might bring this gem of a place to higher heights.
We loved this diner! We stopped here for cherry sodas and a banana split and they were delicious! The service was friendly and fast!

I went here a number of years ago and came back for lunch during this year's Apple Festival. So glad I did. My son had a wonderful Reuben, and I had a wonderful grilled cheese sandwich. The fries were great. I thought it was neat that they offer both Pepsi and Coke products. The service was good and the food was yummy. The atmosphere was neat. Should we have out of the area friends come into town, this would be a fun place to take them. I could see that this would be a good place for kids, especially with the menu options. Thankful for this place and based on my positive experience, I recommend.
We eat lunch during lunch rush with an event going on Main Street. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly and offered drink while waiting to order. Our server was not long from the time we sat at our table to take our order.
I ordered Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwich, sweet tea and strawberry milkshake. The sandwich was nice and gooey and full of flavor. The milkshake had a good strawberry flavor.
The food had great taste and the serve was friendly and top-notch. I would gladly eat here again.
