Mezzaluna is professionally run, with a varied menu that includes meat, fish, and vegetarian options. There's a good selection of beers and spirits and even great outdoor seating.
Service is prompt, and excellent. Our waiter was honest about what he didn't know, and was familiar with quite a few of the dishes. The relaxed atmosphere is great for lunch, brunch, and dinner.
Mezzaluna was recommended by a friend who lived here and it was very good spot to eat. And she was spot on - huge selection. And we arrived just before the lines started to form for DINNER.
In the middle of downtown, offering appetizers, salads, pasta, steaks, pizza & sandwiches - everyone can find something.
The coconut shrimp were huge & very tasty - would have these again.
The ravioli, which our waiter recommended, was succulent- so delicious it almost melted in your mouth.
My lasagna, very filling, but a bit more salt than I liked. The flavor of the sauce was excellent.
And more beers on tap than anyplace we went in Hendersonville. Although, there are a LOT of bars, speakeasy’s, beer gardens & other restaurants we never went to - only here 3 days. 😊
First off When I entered the restaurant I had an awkward moment with the hostess. Not going to go into details on that. Was seated and it took a minute to get drink service for the humans. But they served my service dog water right away, and thought that was nice. Once we got drinks, "simple mix drinks" they where good no issues. I had the Grilled Chicken with Goat Cheese, and Peaches had the Mixed Seafood Grill Plate. Both entree's where visually amazing. The first bite of the chicken was way better than I expected. Absolutely hands down F'ing delicious. Tried a bit of the seafood grill, and it was very tasty also. Absolutely really good food. The restaurant was not dirty and the interior design was nice. Could use some remodel or updating. But overall, far from a dump. Will definitely recommend this place for a date night, or having food and drinks with friends or family. I definitely will eat here again.
Probably my favorite restaurant on Main Street.
We went for dinner last night (Friday) around 7pm- it wasn’t slammed but there were some larger parties.
The hostess seemed like she hated her job and couldn’t even fake a smile or greeting when she sat us. We were sat at a 6 top table, even though it was just two of us.
I ordered a big salad with chicken, my partner ordered a pizza.
The food came out at an average speed, not fast but not slow.
Great food as always.
Serving staff could use some practice on table side manners but overall not a bad experience and we will be back.
Wow!!! This place is FANTASTIC!! A mother and her daughter waited on us at the bar. Ends up Mom owns the place, and they both have great knowledge of the beers and other spirits they offer. They had a Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita on special...best I ever had! I ordered the fig, goat cheese, pancetta pizza drizzled with honey. There are no words! My husband ordered the meatball sub and crispy fries. The meatballs were homemade w lots of cheese on top of a "bread boat" roll. What a great way to make a sub less messy. The mother/daughter team had recently traveled to one of our favorite places down south, so we shared stories. Don't go to Hendersonville and skip this place!!! It is my favorite!!
Perfect find for extremely hungry, thirsty women. The bartender, Tracy, was fabulous. Loved her spicy Bloody Mary. Pizzas was a must.
absolutely love Mezzaluna! the food is the kind of mindblowing that makes even the worst days better with a single bite, and the employees are always friendly.
our usual waitress, Shawnee, is an absolute superstar and excellent at advising about gluten free options (of which they have several). her quick wit, charisma, and knowledge of the menu makes for a wonderful evening every time. I would live off of their artichoke heart appetizers if it was humanly possible!
We did a small welding project for their restaurant (down stairs, The Black Rose). We then went upstairs and had lunch. Courtney, the owner, was super nice and an excellent bar tender! I had the stuffed peppers (appetizer menu) but it was a meal for me and it was delicious. My husband had the pizza (I did take a piece) LOL and that was great as well. Thank you Rob and Courtney for the great hospitality! Cheers!
I came back after years and was pleasantly surprised by the food. We tried the marinated grilled artichoke hearts (2) and they were tasty. The Italian sausage stuffed banana peppers (2) were fabulous. The fried oysters were good and tender but the dipping sauce was strange (sweet Asian style sauce). The chicken Marsala was tender and flavorful too. But the Italian pizza was undercooked and limp even though we ordered it extra crispy. Overall the food was yummy and the service was good too.
I forget the exact bake of what I ordered but it was salmon along with scallops and shrimp covered in an amazing pesto sauce. Our appetizer was a fried calamari and marinara sauce made in house. We've never been disappointed in anything we've ordered here.
