My wife and I tried our Kin's Kitchen today. After living here for a year and a half I was surprised we had not found this gem yet (It IS tucked away in a little unseen shopping center).
I had the sesame chicken with fried rice and my wife has the chicken with mixed vegetables, both of which we'd recommend to others. My chicken had lots of juiciness left in it with a great, not overwhelmingly sweet sauce. My fried rice seemed to have been cooked correctly as it was still plump and slightly sticky.
This is easily the best cheap Chinese take out we've found in Hendersonville and will definitely be going back.
Fresh and Friendly. During a business project in Hendersonville, I saw that Kin's Kitchen was highly rated on Urbanspoon and close by. Gave it a try for dinner and loved it so much I went back for lunch the next day. The food is so fresh and made with a lot of care. The owners could not be nicer, which added to the experience. The spicy garlic sauce with shrimp was my first dish and the next day I tried Bourbon chicken. Both were excellent but the bourbon chicken (special) was the winner in my book. All the other meals we ordered were just as satisfying. For what you pay, you easily get your money worth. They pack the food into the plates. The interior was clean and the kitchen looked spotless. Its always a good sign when you see a chef in an open kitchen cutting up fresh veggies. Great Chinese food hidden away in a strip mall, a must try.
Great food, friendly owners!. My Husband and I love Kin's Kitchen, the owners are so friendly, they even have one of our orders memorized (as we go there quite often). The food is really good general fair Chinese, but they do give you quite a bang for your buck as they pack those containers. They also throw in free things in the orders quite often, sometimes drinks, sometimes Chinese donuts, sometimes wantons. Always friendly, always fast, great alternative to fast food and great restaurant in the Hendersonville community!
Better food than we get in New York. Today we had chance to experience some great food in Hendersonville NC and meet Sam (the owner). We were impressed with not only the quality of the food, but how willing Sam was to modify it to meet our special diet. I would highly recommend anyone that appreciates friendy service and quality food at a good value to give Kin's a try. We have been to far fancier and expensive restaurants that did not have the quality of Kin's.
Get food. Always tastes fresh. Great value, too. They really pack all the food they can into the containers. They also put beansprouts in the fried rice which we love! Very nice people and very good to go food!
You can't go inside. Call to order. Their website is down, so you have to go in person to see a menu. I also posted pictures of the menu. Cross fingers it doesn't change soon.
I went a little bonkers with the photos. Sometimes food looks better plated. Sometimes it's good straight out of the container. 🤷
Pork egg foo young: 4/5
The omelettes were tasty but under-seasoned on their own, requiring the sauce. The sauce made the omelettes infinitely tastier, but wasn't the gravy I'm used to.
Sweet & sour chicken: 4/5
The sauce was really good. It wasn't cloyingly sweet. The breading was solid.
Shrimp chow mein: 4/5
The shrimp was well cooked, plenty of veggies, just a tad bland.
Veggie fried rice: 4/5
I'm used to egg in fried rice rice, which this was missing (possibly because veggie?) but still tasty.
Fortune cookie: 5/5
Solid cookie.
The guy at the window was friendly, the food was well-packed to go, the turnaround was quick (10-20 minute wait).
I don't know if I'll crave this enough to make the 30 minute drive, but if this was closer it would definitely be on rotation.
Ordered four take out platters. Order taker wore mask even though pandemic over.
People were sitting in eating so not just take out.
More food than one person could eat. Plenty on plate. Great tasting.
Employees friendly.
The service was good. It is a mom-and-pop type place. They aren't really set up for dining in but they made a table available for us. I think they're just getting past covid. We had three dishes. The vegetable tofu was excellent but the fried rice was not that good.
Love kin’s wish they had bow spare ribs but all good so good happy dinning room is open everything is fresh and very tasty owner so nice always friendly staff keep up the good work guys
Excellent food. Always ready fast and has never been less than good. Highly suggest.
Tried a couple different places in the area that serve Chinese food. Kin's is the only place that I have ordered from more than once. Food tastes excellent. Make sure you call to order as you currently can't go in.
Kin’s Kitchen is my favorite for take out. My family and I have been here countless times and the food is always tasty, prepared well, packaged great and travels well. The owner and staff seem to take great care in preparing the food we order and are always so appreciative of our business. If you are looking for good tasting food to carry out and want to support an amazing local, small business, I highly recommend you consider Kin’s Kitchen.
Usually enjoy the food here. Disappointed the last two times as the order wasn't correct. The food is good and fairly priced. Busy place so waiting should be expected. Take out is the only option right now.
A great Chinese take out food was good and I loved my egg roll
It's OK food. Kind of pricy but that's all of fast food Chinese now. For some reason we've all become complacent with overpriced big piles of rice and little bits of meat. Two people eating takeout should not cost $30+.
