Fresh food everytime. The husband and wife who run it are absolutely amazing. We come here for them just as much as the food.
Delicious! Great prices! Great food! Polite workers as well. I’ll be going back. The soup is amazing too!!
This place has the taste of home for my wife and I. We are originally from Southern California and miss the fast food Chinese joint. This has so far come the closest to what we were used to. We had general tso chicken, orange chicken and sesame beef. It was all good, but the orange chicken was so far the best! Nice crunchy outside with the taste to compliment. We also had two spring rolls.... they did not survive the ride home, we will probably get 4 next time, 2 for the ride home and two for home. We especially loved the noodles, one of the things we miss most from the Chinese fast food joints. They didn't have an option for beef and broccoli
.. or maybe we missed it, we will inquire next time as it is a basic Chinese fast food must.
Wanted to try this place for the daily special but went instead with the 3 meat option. Despite having incredible prices...the food was AMAZING. Plenty of spice....incredibly tender chicken and just an amazing blend of spice and tanginess.
You can tell the dishes are made with love and expertise, versus quick mass-produced sauces. (The sauces had such an amazing blend of spices and depth of flavor!)
The lady who made ours was also so warm and nice.
This will DEFINITELY be one of our go-to spots....I am so glad we found such a gem of a restaurant! A++!
Best Chinese food in the area. Great service, reasonable prices, and hot fresh food that will make your taste buds dance.
Wonderful stir-fry restauraunt! Choose your own ingredients and they'll fry it up perfectly! Choose your own sauce - the sweet chili is my favorite, and all for a extremely reasonable price. This is a hidden gem worth finding!
We were slightly skeptical, but the food exceeded our expectations. It was fresh and delicious and the people were very kind and friendly. It’s definitely worth a try, especially for the prices!
I had heard a lot of good things about this place, so I decided to reward myself with some nice Chinese food after work. To be honest, I rate this restaurant a solid "meh". But hear me out.
I don't usually do meh reviews, only ones or fives, so let me tell you why I rated them a four.
But first the meh.
Their crab puffs are like every other fast food Chinese place: greasy fried chunks of dough with crab-scented cream cheese specks in the very center of the puff. But, hey, they were 2 for a dollar. Same with their spring rolls (2 for $1.99), although they managed to taste creamy, once you get past the overly-fried bits.
The sweet and sour sauce was tasty, but extraordinarily thin. More like something you would pour over a salad than something you would dip an appetizer in.
The hot and sour soup was, once again, pretty much like every other fast food takeout Chinese place: heavy on the corn starch, tofu, and vinegar, light on anything of any real substance. Although it did have a delightful kick in the finish. It could have used more sour, but the hot was perfectly on point. By this point in my meal I was thinking "well, this is standard fare...."
Here comes the good part.
The staff (I'm guessing the owners) were incredibly charming and helpful, and the atmosphere of the restaurant itself is like you've gone to your favorite aunt's house for dinner. Even though I ordered a lot of food to sample their offerings, my main interest was in having a hot, tasty snack, so I ordered the daily special of General Tso chicken with a side of fried rice.
Oh my goodness.
Seriously.
The chicken was tender and plump, no gross bits, no oddly chewy bits. The breading was just enough to hold the spices and sauce (which was DELICIOUS!), and the fried rice was *chef's kiss*
Their fried rice had the ubiquitous peas and carrots, but they were a subtle accent rather than the overpowering offering you get at most other places. And the rice itself was so tender and fluffy!
So I won't be messing around with any fried appetizers or soups again, but I would MUCH rather give Asian Kitchen Grill my $5 for the daily special (orange chicken or general TSO chicken, with one free side) than buy some lame, dry burger.
Edit: I've been back for the General TSO chicken several times, and it has consistently been amazing.
Excellent "fast food", yet freshly made, Chinese food. Blows Happy Panda out of the water in both quality and price.
