Surprisingly good especially compared to others in the chain. Pleasing, open environment (lots of windows) and very clean. The ingredients were really fresh and the employees were helpful and pleasant.
If you've been let down by other Taco del Mars please give this one a try. Stop in before shopping at Costco. It's a little hard to find.
Don't let your experience at other Taco Del Mar stores influence your opinion of this place. It is pretty clear the management here holds the staff to a higher standard. The food is always fresh and clean. Portions are great (huge!) and it is significantly cheaper than Chipotle!
These guys are great! The owner (I think he is anyway!) works the counter all the time, he's friendly & his crew members are friendly & efficient. The price can be a little high but compared to some other establishments, it's a decent deal. The chips & salsa are great!
Know what is great about this location? It is near the largest Costco in the world. They have a good set up for outside seating, which is important for the below note relating to all Taco Del Mars. The downside is this location is WAY far out there. Not worth the drive just for this, but it is a good lunch if you are heading to this Costco. That is worth the drive.
Note for all Taco Del Mar's: leave your jacket in the car during the winter or eat outside. You will leave smelling like Taco Del Mar.
My favorite mission style burrito, it will always deserve more attention than it receives as the flavor is so much better than chipotle. On top of that its sauces will not upset the stomach unless you get something with a lot of kick. My go to is always the Mondo burrito with sour cream and guac, pinto beans, rice, shredded beef, lettuce, Pico de gallo, cheese, cilantro, and medium salsa. Support them with your purchase and get a round trip ticket to flavor town.
Simple, honest and easy. You don't have to endure long waits or high prices to enjoy a tasty meal that leaves you feeling well. Healthier options than other fast food.
