Brilliant authentic Mexican food. They customized it for me to be vegetarian. It's the best restaurant to stop at on your way to Austin from Dallas. MUST try if you're a Mexican food nut.
Food was great, service was excellent.
Will stop there again when we come back thru town.
Hidden gem. Get anything with their amazing shredded chicken and add avocado slices and you won't be disappointed.. I get that in a flour taco with cilantro and fresh onions. Or you can get the same thing in a fresh gordita, either way delicious. Cheese enchiladas are the best i've ever had. Beef soup is light and tasty.
Barbacoa is also never dry and always very moist. Do not get a burrito because if you do they will give you store bought tortilla, if you ask for taco you get fresh tortilla.
This place is delicious. And they have breakfast tacos! One of the other reviews said they thought it was a renovated DQ, they're right. But that's where you can find some of the best hole in the wall Mexican restaurants. Go there, you won't want to miss it.
We stop at this restaurant every time we head from Dallas to san antonIo. The building is sketchy but the food is great. We always get the chicken fajita burritos. They are huge and oh so delicioso. The salsa is fabulous. Great hole in the wall!
Food was very good. We passed through Hillsboro and decided to stop to eat. My daughter's iPhone recommended this place. We almost backed out when we saw the place. It looks like a converted Dairy Queen, and building maintenance doesn't seem to be a high priority. But, the food was outstanding. The fajita beef was among the best I've ever tasted. The waitress was attentive and intelligent. You probably don't want to go here for your anniversary, but it's great for a good meal with family and friends.
First you need to know this is a _Mexican_ taco stand. No Tex-Mex here. The chips and salsa are just so-so but if you like real mexican this is a great place to stop. The food is simple, cheap and good. The place looks scary from the outside but is a real diamond in the rough. Don't pass up a chance to grab a taco here!
First, good food and friendly staff = 5 stars. I had the most expensive dinner at $21, and buddy it was great. Served in a bowl that stayed hot, it was awesome. Ate breakfast too, after spending a trucker night in the parking lot and it was good. Potatoes were fried on a griddle, not deep fried, skirt steak was great, nopolitos are good. Not everything is karen-perfect (skip the bacon) but it is a real deal.
Great food, service and cold beer!! Finally a restaurant with spicy salsa. Chips were great, fresh tortillas. It's difficult finding a great place to eat in a big truck, but there is parking here.
We are truck drivers and there is a good size lot where we were able to park overnight. Huge plus!! We had dinner and breakfast. The staff was very friendly. However, considering that we were the only two patrons in the waiters section, she never came to check for refills. We had to flag somebody else down. The food my BF had was fantastic. I had the shrimp and wasn't to excited about it. The waitress who served us breakfast was very attentive. We had eggs with cactus and meats. Steak was great, bacon was on the verge to expired. We had to give it back. Bottom line, it does seem to be a bit of a hit and miss, but i would absolutely come back!!
Very good salsa. Has a kick. Love it. Food overall was delicious. Staff super friendly and attentive (even on Mother's Day). My husband loved the chicken sour cream enchiladas with green sauce. My taco salad was top notch. We will be back.
The food was authentic and delicious! It was hard to pick just 1 thing off the menu. Made my husband's day to see Menudo on the menu. The staff was very sweet. And the prices are affordable. We will definitely stop again on our next trip down through there!
