We were out doing so work in homewood and we decided to go eat at the Pawpaw patch. The facility is clean and inviting. The servers were very friendly and sweet. I got the Chicken and dumplings with collard greens and macaroni. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back. I recommend this place to any person who likes a good southern meat and vegetable platter.
Favorite meat and three in BHM. Fried pork chop is probably one of the best anywhere.
Good 'Ol Country Cookin. Reminds me a lot of Niki's but closer to home. I have to take my mom everytime she comes to Birmingham. As she so delicately puts it, "they got real food" :)
I absolutely love their liver & onions. Only place in Birmingham I can find it.
Good Food at Good Prices. Paw Paw Patch is a great place to eat some good home cooked food. I love their wide range of choices on their steam table. They always healthy selections available like grilled chicken, which is always tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The restaurant is big enough to seat a lunch crowd and the staff is very efficient at getting you your drinks and other items so you can eat in a hurry if needed. The staff are genuinely friendly people and will make sure you enjoy your dining experience. If you like a meat and three, you have to try the Paw Paw Patch.
I've been coming here for years, and it's still just as good as it was the first time. A great place to have some good " home cookin' ".
Chicken fried steak is incredible here. You will not be hungry when you leave! I garauntee that!
Now an old Homewood standby--serves a great Southern cafeteria line. Fried.chicken and catfish here are very good. I usually get a vegetable plate--reasonable prices too.
The food was good but I drove all the way across town to get those chicken livers and they were out!!! I would have gladly waited on some fresh fried ones but I was not offered that choice. :(
I got the chopped steak and gravy. It was good but wasn't the chicken livers! :(
Food was wonderful. Everything was served hot. Restaurant was clean. Service was excellent. Have eaten there many times. I would encourage anyone wanting a great home cooked meal to stop in and give them a try.
I have eaten at the Paw Paw Patch since I was a kid. Very good meat and vegetables restaurant. The quality of food and price are very good. I mostly go through the Drive-Thru. Service is always good. Country Fried Steak, Hamburger Steak, and black-eyed peas are my favorites.
Paw Paw Patch is one of the best places around for meat and three. Food is seasoned but not overly seasoned. It's like real home cooking. The drive thru is fast and the gentleman at the window is as sweet as pie. Always a pleasure going there.
Clean meat and 2
You know what your getting.
We love love this restaurant! Try to eat there at least twice a week! They have a standard fare and daily, advertised specials. Something great for everyone.
Everytime I come here I am always welcomed with southern hospitality. They are so welcoming and have very good food. Kudos to the awesome cooks. I will continue to go here. <3
Never been here before but I guess it's a staple in the area. Reminds me of a scaled down furr's cafeteria. Food was okay but a somewhat limited selection. Service is great.
