That food was excellent as always. The beer was cold and at a great price. The place is always crowded, especially on the weekend. The host was a little flustered, but was able to accommodate our party of three. The table was set up between the kitchen entrance and the exit to the bathroom. Not the most ideal place to sit, but it was okay for the three of us. Kinda felt like the servers were gonna accidentally dump food on us in their rush in and out of the kitchen. The place happened to be featured at the time on the food network and the crowd roared their appreciation during the show. Felt surreal eating there and watching the place on tv at the same time.
The food was excellent and the service top notch. If you like the food at the original location Hopaka near Ala Moana SC, this place will not disappoint. Very large portions and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the Pupukea Salad very much. I also recommend the Roast Pork Poke and Yakisoba. Reservations accepted and good for kids.
Side Street Inn never disappoints. This place is top of our list evertime we visit. Their food is very delicious and tasty. The portion sizes served is big. We make sure we come early in our trip because the leftovers are just as good. Porkchops, Boneless Kalbi, Whole fish, Fried rice, Tofu salad, and Boneless Fried chicken yummy!
