Update: been back there 3-4 times. Like it more each time. Lunch Special is such a good deal. Less than $14, you get 3 grill items (meat, veggie, several to choose from). Rice, soup and salad. Bring your coupon from KauKau magazine (It's in Japanese, but you can find coupon on Gyukaku page with small English translation) for free soft drink or $1 Kirin beer. Their service was better each time and they give the best Kamaaina discount! It's now our favorite place to go. Food was great. Portions are somewhat small, but I like being able to order 5-6 different items along with rice, soup, etc. Happy hour is the way to go. Beer is cheap and super cold, which made my hubby happy. It was around shift change time, so the service was not so great...our server never came back to check if we needed anything. No refill on water. We will go again, because we did enjoy the foods and the price was reasonable.

We had such a fun time here. Great experience and the food was delicious! The staff were so friendly and efficient. Highly recommend getting the All You Can Eat so you can try everything!
