Every morning I pass by Kai Coffee and never ventured in but I'm glad I did. The iced tea (something hibiscus) was pretty good and I ordered 2 breakfast to go sandwich and a vegetable wrap for lunch. They accept all types of payments, alot of seating and outside seating available. Also good for using laptops and whatnots or have meetings of 2-3 people base on space availability. I did not see a bathroom but there might be one somewhere in the building. The sandwich i think may have cost $6-7 as well as the vegetable wrap. Iced tea cost between $3-5 depending on size, large or small. They use ecolid or Ecoproducts. Support local!
This is a small, locally owned coffee shop in downtown Honolulu. Their signature drink is the Kai latte. They also have pastries, sandwiches and acai bowls. This is a nice space to come with your laptop to work in. You could also have small group meetings here. My favorite is the matcha latte. The baristas are quick so you can find yourself in and out in less than 5 minutes if there is no line. I tend to avoid this place between the 7:30-8:30am when everyone is getting their morning coffee.
They are located inside the Arcade Building with their shop front on S. King Street. It's best to walk here instead of drive. The only parking in this area is metered street parking on Merchant Street or the metered parking by the post office.
One of the few places that has been consistent in service and food. That is the main reason I keep coming back. I find the quality of food is good and with good flavor. They have been added to my rotation of lunch establishments.
