Came in with some friends, otherwise probably never would have stopped by and was pleasantly surprised. I've never had a dosa of before but it was delicious. Very filling and I enjoyed the sauces. Definitely a great spot to try if you're into trying new foods
Ganesh Dosa is one of the best restaurants on the island. They make a perfect dosa every time, no matter how you create it and serve it with their delicious soup. I have celiac disease and was so happy to find a restaurant that is 100% gluten free that my husband loves as well The atmosphere and employees are lovely 10/10 too. Would highly recommend.
We stopped for lunch at Ganesh Dosa after a chocolate tasting at the next door Manoa Chocolate factory and tasting room, service was friendly and fast, we got a classic dosa and a classic with mozzarella, with both chutneys, the both come with rasam (vegetable broth) , and we got a hibiscus tea and iced chai. All of the food was very good, as someone who eats quite a bit of South Indian food the flavors were spot on! Beacause they don’t use ghee in the masala potatoes they’re lighter, I like that they use less onion as well. Potatoes were well spiced and the Rasam was also lighter and less acidic because it had less tomato. The chutneys were good but could have been a bit spicier. Hibiscus tea was delicious and the iced chai was spicy, creamy, and really well done.
All of their dishes are vegetarian, and almost all can be made vegan, there were many standard offerings and inventive twists to try.
The interior is clean but a bit sparse, with a couple tables and bar seating, they also have some picnic tables outside but it was sweltering and steamy the day we stopped in.
Would definitely go back, wish they had a location in Honolulu!
