Comfortable place w the look and feel of a seaside joint. I dropped n on a Thursday night for dinner w friends and it was easy to get seated. They have a small comfy bar to wait n while meeting friends. I like the sauces they have to go w the two choices of oysters. We had grilled redfish and trout and it was fresh, w generous portions...we all wished we had asked for much less butter on the fish or non at all as the fish was plenty good w o it. The pecan pie and key lime were both yummers! Unfortunately, even though our service was friendly we often were completely unserved and the wait to get drinks and each course was way too long...maybe we just dropped n on a bad night. I love the Papas family of eateries but felt this locale needed some attention.
Our meal was great. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed ourselves. But when it was time to leave, we discovered we had become victims of smash and grab crime, in broad daylight.
Someone reported the crime to the day supervisor, who told my husband she called the police. But for as long as we were there, no police showed up. The day supervisor offered us a drink, hmmmm. Oh, there is a sign on a lamp post, close to where we were parked, that states this property under video surveillance. Well, when my husband asked the day supervisor about the cameras, she told him she didn't know where they are located. Uhh, yes, there is surveillance of the parking lot all right -- by the SMASH AND GRABBERS!

Whenever I’m up north running errands for my mom, this is a must stop for lunch! One of my favorite things to eat are lobsters! And I got quite a huge one! I think it was a 5lbs lobster so the claws were huge! As big as my hand! And it was oh so delish! Cannot wait to come back. I love seafood and this place has pretty much everything I want! Fresh shucked oysters on the half shell, shrimp cocktails, crab fingers, etc. Never left disappointed.
Excellent service and the seafood was fresh, perfectly fried and delicious! The family and I really enjoyed our dining experience & look forward to returning!
OMG - the portions, really? Are you bringing me that much food? Had the Ginger Salmon. Boom and the appetizer was huuuge. We'll be back because the dessert tray looked amazing too.
Pappas Seafood House is now rebranded as Pappas Shrimp Shack! The basic idea is using Pappa's buying power in the seafood market to obtain a great quality of food but pass on the savings to the guests. This concept is a much more cost effective than Pappa's Seafood or Pappadeaux's. For example, the ribeye and garlic shrimp dish is $23.95!
Always Excellent - I love everything about this particular Pappa's Seafood House. It has the coziest atmosphere and window views. The food is always excellent. It's my goto place for clients, friends and family especially before or after drop offs and pick ups to Hobby Airport. Everyone is always happy, satisfied and remembers the great experience. I especially enjoy happy hour and the staff definitely enhances the great experience. The cocktails are not only taste amazing they look amazing. The entire place is always clean and held to the highest standards. I am here at least once a week and I always enjoy myself.
The meal was good, very tasty. The atmosphere was nice. Our waitress Jesenia was very attentive, friendly and gave us good customer service. Thumbs up to the chef and bartender. Will recommend a good place to eat seafood. 👽😎
Delicious food and great service even for our party of 18. Only suggestion would be to remodel the interior space at some point.
