We came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I started with the Bacon Parmesan. It was like a chicken parmesan with a distinct porkiness. It didn't taste like bacon to me though. I follow that with the Fried Chicken Sandwich. This is a tasty sandwich. I enjoyed it because fried chicken is my favorite. I had to end the meal with a cheesecake. This cheesecake was creamy and tasty. The blueberry sauce drizzled over the top was fantastic. The restaurant has a full bar. I had hoped to sit outside, but it was too hot to be comfortable.
My Husband and I decided to try B.B Lemon for Brunch and we are so glad we did. There is street and valet parking. The food was really good and customer service was as well. There was about a 15 minute wait due to the fact we did not have reservations and requested to sit indoors. There was plenty of seating outdoors and would be enjoyable during the cooler months. I love the Parisian style rattan chairs and that the tables are covered under tents with plenty of fans. We ordered the frosé for our drinks and it was nicely mixed even though it came out of the machine. I highly recommend this drink because it wasn’t too strong, it wasn’t too weak and it was the perfect beverage to drink in the Houston Heat. My dish was the Limoncello pancakes with the Hash Browns. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious especially with the hint of lemon. Tasted almost like a lemon cake. The hash browns did not disappoint as well. They were nicely seasoned and both of these dishes were enough to feed two people. My husband ordered the Banana pudding French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was enough for three people to share. Upon leaving there is a stand where they have a tray with lemon drop candies and matches which I thought was a nice touch to go with the whole restaurant lemon theme. We plan on coming back with family for Sunday brunch.
We went for Easter lunch and the restaurant was very accommodating with our larger party reservation. We did experience a mess up and they forgot to put in my husband’s order. However, the manager came over and apologized and offered to not only compensate us with a free entree but a free dessert as well. I was able to modify my cocktail (Raspberry Beret) into a mocktail, their grilled cheese and tomato soup was amazing. The fish & chips were delicious and the fish was perfectly fried, without being greasy. We will definitely be going back.
