This is truly a great place to eat. I had the seafood platter and the gumbo it was absolutely awesome. The seasoning was perfectly done.

Stopped in out of curiosity and I am absolutely going back! Tried the turkey necks which came with corn and potatoes! They were perfectly seasoned and so good. My favorite shrimp fried rice comes from a place in the Med Center, but after trying Calliope's rice...OMG...I now have a place right in my own neighborhood. It wasn't greasy and I loved it. I'll be trying more items off their menu and looking forward to it. Very clean and great customer service.

I don't live near enough to come, even though when I was coming it was quite a drive!! This place is really good and I absolutely miss this dive!!
