I was introduced to this place by a friend. It gets very crowded during lunch and you will walk out smelling like the restaurant. Otherwise so good. The lunch special is good and comes with soup and a small salad. I tried the drunken macaroni. It was a tad too sweet for me so I spiced it up with chili paste. I think the yellow curry is the popular dish here. My friend had this so I tried it. It's quite good. Nice to know downtown has a decent Thai place.
Just enjoyed their fresh spring rolls, green curry, and spicy basil tofu. That is definitely the best Thai food I have ever had! The staff was so nice and accommodating. Will definitely be going back to try their patio dining!
Just found this place because it's a Thai place open on SUNDAYS. All in all, both dishes we ordered totally exceeded our expectations and were remarkable and very filling. The owner here took care of us personally and was delightful to have tending to our table. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time and I will definitely be coming back!
This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. The place is always packed. The longest we have had to wait for an empty table was about 15 minutes. Service is very fast. During lunch all their meals come with salad and soup. So once you sit down they bring that right out. I love to get Pad Kee Mow; I absolutely love the flat noodles. The portions are very generous; I always have leftovers.
Nice Thai restaurant. The Thai tea is really popular. Curry dishes are really tasty and food quality matches the price. They have live music during Friday nights. Staff is friendly.
Excellent, homemade Thai and Chinese food. Their soups and curries are fantastic. Many specialty dishes that you will not find at the run of the mill Asian restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Best Asian food on the west side of Houston.
My coworkers & I eat here every Monday we're in town. The duck curry dish is really good. The interior needs to be updated but I think they are getting new tables and chairs so that mary change soon.
Quaint restaurant hidden in Royal Oak shopping area. Staff was friendly. The owner even dropped by our table to offer a sample of a tapioca dessert. Try the 'Volcano chicken' at medium spice level. Much tastier than your average general tso chicken with a little kick.
Met my mother here for lunch.
Ordered a Ice Tea and a #17, the Pad Kee Mow.
The Tea wasnt great but drinkable.
Tasted like a cheap Ice Team Mix and not freshly brewed.
The Pad Kee Mow although having 2 stars for spiciness was edible and was not as spicy as one would think it would be.
I ordered mine with pork and enjoyed it to the last bite despite the green beans being under cooked.
Despite the obvious issues, I will come back here again for lunch.
P.S. Keep in mind average lunch price at $10-12 and it gets very busy 30 minutes after they open for lunch at 11am.
This is probably the best Thai food in downtown - excellent stuff. I also like that they have Thai tea and Thai coffee (basically the same as Vietnamese coffee). They recently updated their menu to include new items - more dishes to explore!
