Soooo, I wanted turkey so I decided to go to my lil shop tryong to beat the church crowd. They were closed. So I decided to find me another soul food restaurant online. Found one. I get here and the ladies are very friendly and one was really talking up the food, so Im like 'yea right'. The oxtails looked really good so I decided on them instead of turkey (the gravy just looked good). I knew the sweet potatoes werent from the can because of the way they were cut. I didnt want the cabbage, but needed another veggie, they had greens (are they from the can - NO!!!). So the oxtails are gone, I didnt really want the rice, the sweet potatoes are almost finished and the greens may have to wait a while cause im FULL as a tick. And I havent tried this German Butter Cake yet (bedtime snack maybe???). I must say I am very pleased that I found this place....

It felt like I was greeted by family. The food was so good. The kool-aid is so yummy. The cake was so moist. The owner was extremely nice. I will most definitely make this my regular comfort food spot. The veggie plate is a good option as well thanks Pam for the introduction.
You can feel the love, smell the love and taste the love in Heavenly Choices. I felt so welcomed and loved like I was walking into my grandmothers house. My first time here I got the smothered pork chop, Mac and cheese cabbage corn bread the German butter cake and the sweet tea everything was good, and was also prepared nice and neat. Everything was clean and the placed smelled like cake coming out the oven Devine. Thank you Heavenly Choices for your great customer service and delicious food.
Definitely home cooked good ole southern soul food. My husband had the oxtails and ate it up so fast and I had the chicken and rice. The cabbage and the yams were our favorite. We stay way north by Katy but took the drive from a recommendation from “Major”. Oh that German Cake is delicious! We will be back! Service was good 👍🏾 Try it if you haven’t you’ll be hooked

I go here everyday to get me a big old plate of that soul food. I recommend this place to everybody to go get you a big plate you will love.
Everything was so delicious. The Owner was super, friendly , helpful, caring. She Made everyone feel like family as they walked in. Not only was the food delicious but that German butter cake was so good.
We are going to have to have our family reunion in the parking lot that food was so good. Just bring everybody there to eat and send them home 😂😂
The food was so good one customer was sitting at the table sleeping with his mouth wide open. I said now that’s good advertisement right there.😂😂
If you love great soul food and a family environment, this is the place to go. This small business is a treat, and we love that the owner is a product of the community. You never know who you might run into. The German butter cake and peach cobbler are no joke, and the sweet tea is a must. Just to name a few entrée favorites, we highly recommend the oxtails, smothered pork chops, pig feet, and meatloaf. The vegetables are really good, with okra being my go-to. We have dined in and gotten food to go. To say we are fans is an understatement.
We enjoyed this gem, good home cooking with plenty to eat. Had to take to-go plates home with us.

Accidentally crashed the owner's 60th birthday party but they welcomed us in and fed us anyway. The atmosphere was the most loving and amazing set of people. The food was delicious! We can't wait to come back for a second round. Happy Birthday to the sweetest little lady. Thank you for allowing us to share a special moment in your day.
My first day ever in Houston was made memorable because of my incredible experience at Heavenly Choices. Service is top notch and the food is indeed heavenly. That butter cake changed my life.

This food was so amazing and the owner’s politeness and giving was a blessing. She is phenomenal and her food is worth going back for seconds. The food is seasoned very good. We will be returning back.
