My recent experience at C Fu Yang was so good, I had to come up with a new word to describe the cuisine - fantasgreat. It was like a party in my mouth and everyone was invited. All joking aside, I'll describe the day that transpired, seemingly by accident.
I was headed over to Alice's Diner for a burger and fries, really good I might add, but was surprised to see this restaurant in its place. Anyway, to make a long story short, I decided to give C Fu Yang a try. Needless to say, color me impressed. The garlic chicken meal was very tasty (probably the best I've had ever in life). The fried rice and hot and sour soup were very good, too, not too salty (I suffer from high blood pressure). The portions were very generous. I actually had to take some food home, which is unusual for me due to my somewhat voracious appetite. The crab puffs tasted like cream cheese, seafood, and batter, which is exactly what I expect from crab puffs. The eggrolls were crispy.
Moving on, I tried the kung pao chicken the next time I visited, and I swear it was as good as, or perhaps even better than, the garlic chicken.
Anywho, if you're in the Meyerland area near Beechnut, give this place a whirl. I've only dined at the establishment a couple of times since I live in the northwest side of town, but to be frank, I would literally eat there everyday if I had the financial means to do so. Personally, I think the food is easily much more satisfying than Boston Market or that one Subway adjacent to the restaurant, which I'll have to comment on at a later time.
So be sure to stop by C Fu Yang. You won't regret it (probably).
