Living in Asia, rarely am I impressed with the satay in Houston. I was surprised that the satay at Thai gourmet was very good, comparable to those u can find in Asia. The drunken noodles has the wok taste, which is another plus. Not a big fan of the seasoning, is just not my cup of tea. Like the old maxim goes, one man's meat is another man's poison. The curry was very flavorful for the yellow chicken curry. Very authentic spices, and the chicken was very fresh and tender. Would be good if it was spicy. The seafood soup was great, but the oyster was gammy. Cheese roll, was good too, soft and cheesy. The decor was a bit depressing...wood paneled wall and black ceiling make the place dark and gloomy. Overall, it was authentic Thai cuisine. Last but not least, Joe our server was very attentive, despite being busy while we were there. Checking to see if everything was good and refilling our water without being asked...that always a mark of a good server.

All food here was great. I like that Thai Gourmet allows you to choose your spice level. Of course, I got Thai level spice for everything. Tasty with a good amount of heat.
I would recommend this place if you are in the Houston area.
Went for the first time a few weeks ago. So enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Server was friendly and food came out at a good pace.
Really enjoyed the appetizer sampler platter! Heat level was fine for my curry, but may try it hotter next visit. Our guests had never had Thai food, so it was nice to bring them to a busy restaurant with a gifts and foods section and delicious cuisine.
Peeped into the original section to the right of the entrance. It was nicely set up, but no one was seated there. I was told they didn't have enough staff to handle both sections at once. Maybe they have enough staff for private parties there.
Nice authentic full scale Thai restaurant and it’s very famous among locals here . Food is very tasty with five level of hot curry. Big and spacious with ample car parking. Friendly and efficient service too . I would recommend to everyone including friends and families. Peter our waiter is superb.

Check your spicy level before ordering. We ordered very mild for the ones didn't want spicy at all. My Indian friend ordered just mild😅.
Definitely the coconut cream in most of the dishes adds an incredible taste.
My pineapple fried rice was heaven 😍😍 shrimp, beef, chicken,raisins, pineapple chunks with green onions. It's up to you red onion.
Friday night dinner, the place was packed indoors, but plenty space between tables, easy to talk 🔊.

The place is HUGE and the atmosphere is very authentic. I love the decorations and setup. It's clean and very roomy.
The menu has almost everything that we were looking for in a Thai restaurant. We love authentic thai food and one of our favorites is Ladna. We called ahead to check if they do serve it because not all do. It's a more complicated dish and longer to prepare according to a Thai friend. So when they said they do, we immediately came and tried it.
We ordered chicken satay (4 chicken on skewer) which was amazing 😍.
And then beef ladna and chicken pad thai. Both were amazing! We went ahead with a medium spice which is actually super spicy! Lol we were warned by our server and still ordered medium spice.
Ladna was on point and the serving is a lot! Love the broth and everything! It has this grill aroma and essence that we just couldn't get enough of. The padthai was amazing as well. Love love it and will come back soon!

Can never go wrong here with anything here! Lunch specials are great! After they expanded their location, the long waits have been reduced considerably. As big of a parking lot they have, sometimes it's an issue when layal just starts putting cones on all the spots. Service is great and they do take the time to explain all the dishes and the spice levels. You can always add heat from the sauces they have at the tables. I have taken the family here multiple times as well. It's one my mom's favorite places to eat, and she's picky. Their seafood does have a slight fishy smell which I don't mind but my siblings don't like. If you are extra picky about your seafood, skip it. They will not let you order anymore seafood if you return a seafood dish stating that's how the smell is. I really like their basil fried rice and basil chicken. Can't go wrong with the green curry ever. The basil seafood is fantastic as well, which is my go-to for lunch Everytime! Decor is beautiful.

I would give this place a 5 but there was a couple things I did not like. I had my daughter's birthday dinner here and when I tried to call several times to make reservations the phone was busy. So we got there and waited for about 25 minutes which wasn't horrible but once we sat down it took someone to come attend to us for about 10 minutes or so. When we did get someone's attention the woman just said okay and walked off and it took the waiter another 5 minutes to come out. That was not a good first impression. When they did get our drink and appetizer order it was not long until we got our appetizers which were delicious. We then got our order about 20 minutes later which was pretty fast for a big order and the food was completely AMAZING! THE FLAVORS we're very delicious and the food quality was fresh. They are not playing about the spice! Even the medium spice is HOT! SO BEWARE.
I got Thai Spice which I loved!!!! I would definitely come back they just need a little bit more weight staff because it was busy.
I love their vegetarian options. The garlic okra has a nice smoky flavor and done very well. Cashew tofu is my all-time favorite. My friend could not stop eating her chicken in their Thai curry noodle - it was that good! Worth the wait on any day.
