This Mayuri is located within the Tunnels and I have only went here during lunch hour and all though the line is always long, the service is quick! This may be due to their portion sizes and great lunch specials. My go-to choice is the Chicken Biryani and my wife’s is the paneer curry 🍛 both are tasty and filling.
Only complaint I would have is that they’re always out of Chicken 65, but I’m also at fault for only asking during rush lunch hour.
Pricing is on point and there is adequate seating to grub.
I ordered White rice and Butter chicken the taste of butter chicken was really good the only problem is it's hard to find the restaurant I was looking for the restaurant for 9 minutes which end up being under the tunnel which they have stores and restaurant under the tunnel.
This place was a very happy find in the tunnels, and definitely worth the hike from my office. I got the chicken chili dosa, having never had a dosa before. It was delicious, and I really like that it was made to order. The chicken itself wasn't amazeballs, but it was very tasty and the sauces it came with were incredibly flavorful and complemented the chicken wonderfully. I would definitely go back.
The food is amazing. The packaging to go is ridiculous. Sauce everywhere, leaking out. I had the goat curry, and it was awesome, though a bit light on meat.
Food is good here. Also its inexpensive.
Its opens only from Monday to Fri and serves from 11 AM to 1 PM or runs out of food due to huge demand by mostly 1.15 PM.
Its very crowded between 12 to 1230 PM each afternoon primarily first half of week due to the office goers taking lunch here.
The food here is popular among both Indian and Americans.
The food is readily available here as its being served from a baneberry while the Naan is being prepared in a clayoven in the background. Service is pretty fast here. Even if there is a long queue, it must take just a few mins for your turn.
They have a descent menu but lacking dishes like malai kofta and chole bhature to name a few.
Drinks like buttermilk and Indian deserts like Ras malai is also available here.
Samosas are also available which is a very popular snack around the world.
The price is really cheap and food is good. Although the size of the naan seems to be bit small to some and the quality of the rice may not be that good.
Its really popular for its Dosas and the butterchicken to name a few. This place is suitbale for office goers who want to take lunch in the downtown as it is located nearby most of the offices and is accessible thorugh the tunnel system.
I would recommend this place if you prefer Indian food.
This is the go to place.
Our team went here for team lunch and good thing we came early! Around 12 pm, the line is out the door! It's out the door for a reason. The food is really good and is packed with flavor. It tastes really authentic and the price is great. Getting a lunch under $10 in downtown Houston is a miracle. My lunch was $9.73 with tax.
The staff are quick and so the line moves pretty fast. This place is the only place in the plaza with a line, which says something about their food. I would for sure come back again if I ever forget to bring my lunch from home haha.
Good Indian food in Houston Downtown. I took Chicken curry which came with roti n rice in good quantity.
I really liked the veg combo. It was wholesome with 2 curries,4 naans, salad and some rice. I tried the veg biryani and it was good too. Will definitely go again!
Great place to try Indian food in downtown Houston. Reasonable prices and tasty food. Dosa and chicken & rice were bomb tho!
Amazing and authentic food at a reasonable price. Consistent over the years.
