I had a 5 hour layover in Houston, so I decided to get some BBQ. WOW! what a great find. I had the brisket, ribs, turkey and sausage. The were all really good. The owner gave me the sausage for free because he wanted me to taste it. My favorites were the brisket (moist and tasty) and the amazing homemade sausage. However, what I liked most about the place was the warmth of the people who owned it and worked there. Dorian was an energetic server who made you feel welcome as soon as you came through the door. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. I liked it so much I convinced my Uber driver to give it a try. Looking forward to coming back.
Are you ready for an explosion of flavors? We are from Brazil, visiting Houston, Texas and we wanted to try the barbecue. Right at the entrance you could hear the huge Kevin laughing. As it was our first time at the house, I asked him to recommend the dish. Simply a success. Tks Kevin and hope to go back again.
Old school bbq joint!!! Food and service were really good. I ordered a three meat plate, chicken plate, a Cajun link, egg rolls and some sides. Food was really well seasoned. My fav side was the collard greens and fav appetizer was the boudin egg rolls. I ordered curbside and the service was exceptional!! My family and I will definitely be back.
Had the 4 meat Big Texas plate, food was amazing! Ribs and chicken good sized portions, price was right.
The servings were large and food was very delicious. Tried the 3 meat potatoe this this time, and it didn't disappoint.
Their ribs are great, too.
Great bbq, big portions and a super friendly staff. 07/15/23 was our first time here after seeing a FB review. The gentlemen and I’m assuming his wife were friendly and very helpful explaining the menu. We live in spring and will return for round two in the future. Go Cowboys!!!

The food was delish...service on point...clean location. I will go back. the brisket was seasoned and very juicy and tender...no bbq sauce needed. The sides were good too...going back to try ribs and sausage. Chef Kiss...hands down best bbq in Northside😊👏👏👏😋

I didn't go inside my husband did a pick up order. The plates were nice and heavy the flavors were on point too. I really enjoyed the dirty rice. The chopped brisket sandwich was hugely filling. Them ribs had the right everything. The peach cobbler and that buttermilk pie everything was really good. Never been so happy finding a great tasting food place so close to home.
Their brisket is absolutely delicious, so I figured I would order a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving. There was literally nothing left for leftovers. The bones were picked clean! If you are a fan of BBQ, I recommend you try Lonestar Sausage. It will be your favorite! Thank you, Kevin, for feeding my family well!
Amazing ribs,& sausage...brisket a little dry for me but very good flavor. .. over the top beans. Bbq sauce a little too liquid for me but good flavor. Recommended!!
