I just started going here sometimes. I'm a member of an NTN trivia team and we landed here after a few other places closed down. We are mostly nonsmokers and prefer non - smoking establishments. But there aren't many of those sound that the save "the game" anymore.

The menu is fairly complete. My usual fare is either a Ruben or Hamburger - both of which are great. They have several beers on tap, including locals like Monkeynaut and Sweetwater.

We play on Tuesday nights starting around 6 pm. There is also a darts league there that night. Come by and give it a shot. .

Ruggby's is a good place to go and just relax and take a break before heading back into the rat race or to gather with some friends and watch your favorite team. Definitely a dive sports bar in appearance, but it is really much more than just that. Here are some of my thoughts, IMHO:

Some of the positives:
- good "bar food" at a reasonable price (you must try the french dip or the ruben).
-Lots of football fans, many teams are represented (as you can tell from the new decor) And like family, people will scream and yell at each other, but they are back the next week to do it all over again.
-Golfers, Runners, Engineers, Accountants, Mechanics, Tatoo Artists, Insurance agents, Programmers, Professors, Scientists, Mothers, Fathers, Single, Married, unemployed, millionaires. They are all there at some point. Makes interesting conversation never ending.
-FREE WI-FI,
-FREE Hot Dogs and Pizza on certain nights (usually during football season or friday nights)
-NFL TICKET, just ask and they will put your game on one of the 5 (I think) TVs
-Digital Juke box - and yes, the whole bar will start to sing along, its that kind of place
-Live music occasionally - see comment above
-Friendly staff, come once or twice and you will quickly be on a first name basis.
-Halloween Parties, Christmas Parties, Anniversary Parties, Steak nights, Trivia Nights...and more.
-2 Dart boards
-Golden Tee

Downsides: I am a non smoker, so you know where I could go with this. But, it is a REAL bar, the way god intended, so I got over that fast. No worries right, there are 100 other places to go as well if that is a deal breaker. Otherwise if you are good with a dive bar that makes you everyone feel equally welcome, check it out. If you absolutely hate it and i am there, let m know and I'll buy you a beer and we can talk about it.
