Stopped in Huntsville Texas for lunch today and picked this neat Cafe close to downtown.
This place has an old store feel and fun ambiance. The young lady who served us was very good and friendly. Diane ordered the grilled yardbird (chicken) with homemade chips and mixed veggies ( a contradiction I know) minus the gravy. The chicken was tender and well flavored with what seemed to be a hint of citrus. The mixed vegetables were a little softer than we like but not overdone and a good but not heavy taste. The homemade chips were spot on, lightly seasoned and crispy fresh. A good house specialty.
I had the sunny side burger, bun-less, with the mixed veggies ( I'm trying to eat a little better). The veggies I already reviewed but the burger was cooked well and tasty and I'm sure would be a good real burger.
Overall we enjoyed the experience and the food. Two thumbs up 👍.
Alright, a new city so new restaurant. Got to give this pick to my sexy PYT wife, I think she asked Google. First of they say 'this not ain't fast food". It's wasn't pack but there were a lot of 10 or people tables so they were working hard. This is a large restaurant with very very limited parking. We parked 2 blocks away. As you can see once again I forgot food photos, to busy talking and extra spirits....there was three of us. Grilled Chicken Salad, Grilled Chicken Dinner and Chicken Finger Dinner. We had hot sauce and chips for the appetizer. If you like a "sweet" hot sauce this is for you, we don't. We all agree the food was good and aa0the portions was on the small side. The House Margarita and Vodka Martini were tasty. We loved the interior decorations were cool and relaxing. Shout out to the waitress awesome job handling her section and all thoughts people.
The BBQ Boss burger was amazing! Great flavor and some of the best bacon I've had on a burger in a very long time. We tried to order the Blood Orange margarita but they had sold out some of the ingredients so we chose the Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita and Caribbean Margarita instead. They were, hands down, some of the best margaritas we've EVER had and are reason enough for a trip to Huntsville. We picked a "pie flight" to sample several flavors. The Key Lime was OK but lacked the citrus "zing" that I look for in a great Key Lime Pie. Likewise, the Pumpkin Pie wasn't particularly pumpkin flavored. The Vinegar Pecan was ok. It seemed they all were in pre-made, commercial pie crust and wasn't particularly memorable. Still, we'll be back - especially for the margaritas!
