Went there on a whim looking for a good bbq place and the smell from out side was absolutely divine and the food was cooked to perfection with a perfect balance of seasonings so the flavor really came out. The entree was more than I was able to finish so I brought the rest home. The sweet bbq sauce is excellent. Our server and the hostess were very friendly and knew the menu and descriptions very well. My partner and I will most assuredly be going back.
The interior of the restaurant has an inviting and rustic feel with good music in the background.
It's no wonder they've won several awards.
Food was delicious! Our server was Miss Tracy, she was great. Got the all you can eat ribs and hubby got all you can eat pork. Ribs were fall of the bone tender. I am not a pulled pork person, but it was the best I have ever had. Not fatty at all, very moist and didn't even need sauce. Definitely will be back!
There was some confusion at first as to whether it not they were open. The sign said they were open until 9. It was 8:15. There was no sign of anyone. I walked into a separate room, the bar, and there was an employee there. I asked if they were still open. She said that they were, for to-go orders only. I asked about the sign saying they were open until 9. She didn't realize what time it was. Apparently, as of 8:30, they switch to to-go orders only. So she sat us.
Thank goodness. The smell had my mouth watering. That was some really good barbecue. The sides were really good too. I tried the brisket and rib tips. Hubby tried the brisket and turkey. We each tried different sides. Everything was good, tasty.
The prices were a little high, I thought. But not after I saw the platter of did that they brought for $20.00.
I am so glad she took our orders and we had that experience.
Some of the best bar b que options of any Indianapolis restaurant. Easy to find location on west 86th street. It is close to interstate 465. The staff here are fantastic and make great menu recommendations. The food is delicious and comes out quickly so you can have lunch here on a tight schedule. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is very clean.
We've been going here since they opened. Was nice to see some of the regulars. Crystal, you are first class. Nice to meet your daughter. She's as nice as you. This place will not disappoint. Nice that we have a small local BBQ joint that has kept the great staff from the beginning. BTW the food was great.
Best BBQ in Indianapolis. Didn't see many gluten free options. Service was excellent. One day I had takeout and another I ate in. Carmen was a knowledgeable and gracious server. Food came out super fast but still high quality. Definitely try the mix BBQ sauce sweet and spicy. I will return every time I'm in town.
We stopped in today as we were traveling through town and we weren’t disappointed! The food was AMAZING! I wish I could remember our waitress name but she too was AMAZING! My husband never mentioned he didn’t eat pork , but she was so vigilant to what he ordered for his main course ( the pick 3) that when he went to order a side of beans she made sure to let him know they had pork in them.
Should we ever come to town again we’d definitely make it a point to stop here!
Very good barbecue for Indianapolis. Chicken wings and turkey breast were amazing. The pulled pork was tender but I should have ordered the sauce on the side because it overpowered the pork. Beef brisket was very dry & we couldn’t eat it all even with sauce. Creamy and tasty mac & cheese. Collard greens had good flavor too but could use a touch of vinegar. Will visit again.
Really good pulled pork and brisket. Both moist, flavorful, and a good amount of smoke. Ribs were a miss, overcooked and dry. Oh, and can't forget those deep fried biscuits with apple butter Overall very happy.
Showed up shortly before closing, they made us feel welcome. We tried to eat quickly and leave, but great atmosphere kept us there. Live music, 90's country. All the food was amazing, the picture is the pulled pork sandwich with collard greens and potatoes. Husband had the chicken egg rolls, and pulled pork mac and cheese. No complaints from us, looking forward to our future move to the area and enjoying this restaurant more. 😀
First time visiting! Smelled great as you enter the restaurant. We sat at a table in the bar area, the bartender was very fast and friendly! I tried the three meat sampler with pulled pork, brisket, and smoked sausage. All were very tender and delicious, the sauce was very good. I got the hot sauce and it had the right amount of flavor and heat!
This place deserves a 10 star review⭐ My husband found this hidden gem by chance and we're happy he did. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was perfect, from the minute we opened the door until the minute we got in our vehicle. Our server Roxanne, was amazing. She was very engaging with our kid's, which is a huge plus to me. She knew it was our first time there and answered any questions we had about the menu. Our food was superb.The pulled pork was so tender it melted in your mouth🤤 My husband got the ribs, the meat was falling of the bone. Their bbq sauce is to die for, I could go on forever. We are in love with this place 100% but we are totally bummed that we found it 2 months before we move back to Ohio🥺 We've lived in Indiana for 6 year's. I've worked in the Zionsville/Whitestown/Indianapolis area for the last 3 plus year's and never found this hidden treasure. We'll definitely be back a couple time's before we move.
