Well worth the two hour drive from Louisville for these tamales. Super casual atmosphere. Authentically delicious every time we come to Indy. Had one of their classic beef in red sauce (mild) tamales. The beef is tender, well seasoned, and the red sauce is delightfully garlicy. The chicken in green (mild) sauce may be my favorite though, with a nice flavorful green sauce with perfectly seasoned chicken.
The elote (corn on the cob) in a cup is everything you want in elote without the mess.
Always a required stop for us in Indy.
The guy was great with explaining things and the tamales were fresh and yummy we got the red sauce and beef and the green sauce and chicken and the green sauce and pork and a steak torta the steak is more like roast chunks but still good i recommend this place for sure and i would recommend calling and placing your order to make sure they have what you want and they can do orders for the next day if what you want is out
The tamales are.so good and the beef is so tasty. Definitely recommend.
Ah-mazing!! Most flavorable tacos I've ever had. Wish I would have found this place sooner!! Highly recommend the verde chicken.
Simple yet tons of flavor. Great place to go for a quick bite. Nachos below are also just a small.
This place is on the unique side because finding authentic tamales with a variety of fillings are few and far between. The food is so good it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. They have large portions for a very reasonable price. They have other items on the menu besides tamales if you prefer something different. For all the tamale lovers out there, you must try this place.
We've been in the Greenwood area for a little over three years, drove by this place countless times but never stopped... Until today. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was incredible! Good portion sizes, phenomenal taste and authentic food. We got a wide variety of tamales, and tacos, but our favorites were the chorizo and egg taco and the chicken Verde! Definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes tamales!
We stopped in from out of town. Had two vegetarian and two spicy tamales, and they were all delicious. The spicy pork tamale was certainly not for the faint of heart. Chips and cheese were very tasty as well.
I don't know if there was an issue with the kitchen exhaust fans or what, but the place was full of smoke and while we were eating the staff had to prop the front doors open.
We will be back the next time we are in town for sure.
Best tamales I've ever had. We ordered the night before because we were visiting from. Canada and they had them ready early the next morning for us. So delicious and tasty. We try and stop here every year when we pass through Indianapolis. Highly recommend eating here.
Great food! Get it while you can. Limited quantities made daily. Go early enough to get what you want; however, everything's great, so don't feel bad, if you can only make it for a late dinner. The dessert tamales are also worth a try. Staff is friendly and food is served quickly. Only detractor is the availability of clean tables. The corn husk from tamales can make a mess and wiping tables, should be made a bigger priority. Normally, I would deduct stars, but all other aspects of this restaurant warrant ALL the stars.
