Green curry was pretty good, I got the level 2 and it was borderline too spicy for me. I typically get a medium. Crab Rangoon was good, but small. Fairly expensive for my tiny budget

There is something about rainy weather that makes Thai food compelling. Pat and I decided on Thai, again. Indy has a few Thai style restaurants available. For this occasion we decided on one in the “Village”. The address may seem familiar because it is the epicenter of what I call Ripple Food Central. That is a strip mall that houses several different ethnic eating options, as well as a brewery. Pretty convenient. This particular joint has been around for a while but has changed owners. A few of the reviews have been less than complimentary concerning the owner and the service. I notice reviews, and I take them into consideration, up to a point. Bottom line I need to check out the joint first hand. The place is compact, nicely appointed and neat and clean. Our first impression of the servers was they were competent and actually looking forward to waiting on us. After we were seated the first thing I noticed was their vaulted ceiling and this part of the decor. I have no idea what it is. I only hope it lights up at night, and possibly spins. Oh I hope it spins. The first thing I noticed about this particular Thai restaurant was they offer Sushi. That is rare,in my experience. Oh one thing about this particular mall is that all the restaurants have a menu posted to the outside windows. You can see what to expect before you walk in. As much as I love Sushi I resisted. One of my all time favorite Sushi joints is about one block west. Besides to me Sushi without sake is like pizza without beer. I really enjoy noodles. I really enjoy bean sprouts and veggies, so I ordered Khauk Swe Kyaw. Like all of their lunch specials they come with soup or salad choice for about 8 or 9 bucks. Pat and I both opted for the soup, lemon grass. I have never had a Lemon Grass soup as assertive as this. Most often soups of this nature are flat and singularly flavored. A mild chicken broth with a weak citrus taste and a hint of cilantro. To me this cup was an explosion of lemon and chicken flav

Very good green curry and Thai salad. Definitely worth the detour from shopping at REI across town!

Fantastic soup and excellent pad thai. Great service-- they dealt well with kids, and when the very hot spicy food I'd ordered was too spicy for me they made my dish again, milder. Thai hot is much spicier than typical Midwest spice level, so this was awesome and hot. Great flavor and service.

Soup, delicious soup. There are a lot of good Thai places in Indy, but my heart belongs to the lemongrass soup here. I want to buy it in quarts. My usual is panang curry with chicken - not my favorite in town, but good. The pad thai is tasty. My dinner of choice when in Broad Ripple.

Great flavors. The lemongrass soup is really good, possibly the cure for the common cold. I like the padd thai, which I ordered with beef. It is flavorful, spicy, and I was suprised at how much I enjoyed the crisp texture of the bean spouts topping it. The coconut tapioca pudding is....weird. Water chestnuts and tapioca are not things I typically think of being good together, but I ordered it anyway and it was good! Sweet, and interesting. I don't care for the black bean pudding, as it was chewy. More like a pecan pie topping texture than pudding.
I've only ever gone on the early side of the lunch hours, so it hasn't been busy while I've been there. No idea what the service is like when they have a full house, but the waitress was pleasant both times I've gone there.
I sort of like the weird mishmash of eastern (lucky cats) and kitsch (silk flowers, christmas deco in the bathroom...in June). It is funny, and I think a super artsy, interior decorator type might break out in hives if exposed to it. Great food, funny decoration, what's not to like?
I'd recommend it.

Love Love Love Thai Cafe! The tofu yum salad is wonderful! Even my carnivore husband prefers it to the variety with meat. Great Thai Iced Tea. Love the lemongrass soup. We usually get our food to go because the dining room is small and seating can be difficult during prime hours. Still, the food is worth it if you decide to dine in and being close to your neighbor is just part of the experience.

Good choice for vegetables. I end up in Broad Ripple on my own for a meal from time to time. Thai Cafe is one place I can count on to get a fairly inexpensive meal that includes vegetables (other than a chain). The last time I was there, they didn't have the grill on yet (at lunch time - odd) so I had to get a different version from my usual order, but the veggies and chicken were still good. However, my daughter didn't want leftovers because she said the sauce was too greasy for her. I will go back, but agree with all of the reviews below about sub-par service.

I ordered carry out to eat at the hotel. It was very good and I’d definitely eat here again. I got an order of the spring rolls and the Spicy Bamboo (Pad Ped). I ordered the spicy bamboo Thai hot. I was expecting a good kick, but man this heat was beyond what I expected! However, even as hot as it was it still had great flavor!

We enjoyed our food and the variety. We got a lot rice and soup with our entrees. The dumplings came loaded! I loved the oysters/ mussels. No complaints about the food or price, just wasn’t as astonishing as other Thai places we have had. We will probably continue ordering since location and service is great!

Great pick up service, in and out in minutes. Staff was helpful and friendly. Blue crab sushi had a little too much rice but otherwise balanced taste. The padd see ewe was spicy as desired, just lacking an amount of chicken with the dish. Would recommend this place.

We went in to dine and was so surprised to find out that there was new ownership. I can’t lie, I was a little nervous because I loved the food before but hadn’t been back for a couple years. It turned out fantastic. The dishes were plated really nicely. We ordered pad Thai and duck curry. Both had tons of flavor. The restaurant was very clean. I do wish it was a little cozier but it was still a nice chill atmosphere. The server informed us that his family took over recently. Service couldn’t have been better. Cool guy.
