First time, and now a favorite place for us. Ney, our waitress, delivered professional service. Definitely coming back to try more of their unique menu items.
Great food and Good taste!!!great place.!!! I recommend it
I gave it 4 stars having been there only once - will go back again and maybe the rating will increase.
To date, they served the best tasting Chile Poblano/Chile Relleno I have had yet in Indy - really really nice. Yes, there was only one chile in the order, but it was huge and delicious, such a nice egg batter.
My friend had the chicken mole, really tasty sauce.
The tacos de lengua y chorizo were really tasty too.
The interior of the restaurant is quite attractive and clean - nice.
Next time, more chile poblano, and maybe some posole :)
Update 12/8/18
5 Stars and I declare Los Chilaquiles as the best Mexican restaurant in Indy. I added pictures. I’ve returned many times now and the food is sublime. My sister said the enchiladas Suizas had the best enchilada sauce she ever tasted. Such a great bowl of Posole and really the Chile rellenos are the total bomb.
Pat is out-of-town so I am left to my own devices this week. I was torn between Asian and Mexican. At the last-minute I opted for Mexican. The joint I chose has a pretty good record of reviews;although none more recent than 2013; and the menu seemed more than adequate. I had planned on ordering chilaquiles. I mean they named the joint after them. However I decided on tacos instead. Chilaquiles are okay but a good taco is always welcome to me. I know you are thinking. It is a tortilla with stuff in it,so what is the big deal? Well there are tacos. And then there are Tacos. What does a good taco look like? Something like this.
Fantastic Authentic Mexican Food. We were traveling in Indianapolis, and Los Chilaquiles was close to our hotel. Lucky us! We went out of our way to return a second night on the same trip it was so delicious. We had the Enchiladas Verdes, Enchiladas Mole Poblanos and Steak Burrito. Make sure to order their handmade margaritas! Great service, quiet ambience (weeknights), and decent kids menu. On top of that, the price was well below what we expected for such amazing food.
Had lunch. Short lunch menu so ordered ala carte chimichanga. A lot of food) but almost 2x luncheon prices. Good quality, fresh food. Seems in a new building. Would return but wished they had more lunch items.
Food here is amazing. Very authentic and very flavorful. I was getting tired of Puerto Vallarta and next experiences there. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed. My only complaint was they didn't have a margarita menu and I believe a new server didn't do the best job of making my margarita, but I'm expecting better next time.
Fantastic!. Had a chance to catch up with an old friend tonight... Wonderful. Not so wonderful? Realizing when I got home that my silver bracelet was missing (after having a conversation at dinner about how I don't lose jewelry anymore). Called restaurant after I got home 40 minutes later and "Angie" searched the restaurant and found my bracelet IN THE PARKING LOT!!! Locals: Check out this spot on the West Side LOS CHILAQUILES if you get a chance... Food was amazing (really) and the service? OUTSTANDING!
Awesome.com. Best margaritas ever. Really. Love the enchiladas suiza and the los chilquales. We were even serenaded as we dined. Can't wait to return!
Amazing.. This is, in my opinion, the best Mexican restaurant in Indy. The food is authentic and delicious and the staff are very nice and helpful. I've been several times and have not been disappointed any of them, except that there was annoyingly loud karaoke one time. Everything that I've tried to far has been delicious. Also, the juices are not typical juices, but are fruit purees and are so good, especially the pineapple and the apple.
Awsome taste. Sopa Siete Mares (That's Seven Seas Soup): "Los Chilaquies Restaurante " in Lafayette square are , outside of Downtown. The description of it that I read online wasn't too enticing, but being the house specialty I figured it would be alright. We were pleasantly surprised that what looks somewhat questionable from the outside () inside actually turned out to be a very clean, bright atmosphere.
The Siete Mares Soup contains an ample variety of excellent fresh seafood including fish, shrimp, lobster, clams and crab.
The menu is chock full of Traditional Mexican Food Plus seafood , including one of my favorites, Cocktel De Camaron. I'll leave that for our next visit, which will be soon !
This is, without hesitation, the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico, and we just moved from Florida. Not only is this place authentic, it's creative and thoughtful.
Waitress was a bit lacking BUT the food and drinks were not!!! We loved this place and will return
Amazing place for Enjoy, eat and dance!!! 💥😉👌💯🎉👏✨️💥
The only reason I am giving the service 3 star is for the lack of communication. My waiter was nice, but we had to use our phones to communicate because I didn't understand him and visa versa. The drinks was good, but my 1 margarita cost more than my food. I wish they would have had a drinks menu, I had no idea what drinks they offer so I just want with a basic drink. There empanadas was sooooo delicious! I consider getting another order to go home, but after seeing my bill, I passed on getting more. Over all it was a good experience.
We stop at this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and was pleasing surprised, food was prepared excellent and the tease was outstanding

Brought my mom for her birthday 🎂 🥳. Great service and food.
Greattttt service
Great food very authentic Mexican food very very clean place one of the best restaurants I've been too on the road
This place is the best Mexican food in Indianapolis by far! Tampiquena Arreachera, Enchiladas Verde or Mole… insanely good. BUT… don’t go here if you don’t have 1.5 hours plus… The service is as bad as the food is good. It’s actually comical. But best food!!!!
Very little English speaking but ooo good food!!
Delicious! Really authentic, great food. We felt like it was healthier cooking too, less grease. Food came out fast and was very tasty. The queso was also great. Didn't have any cider which is my normal go to, but they recommended a rum mixed drink and I loved it.
My family was up for the weekend and had a taste for authentic Mexican food. We had just that and it was delicious! One of my fighters wanted breakfast and she is super picky about what she eat. She finished everything on her plate which is the first in years. We all was very satifiedd and we will return!
