Look no further. This has been my choice for Mexican cuisine since I discovered it a couple months ago. I have been here at least 10 times. I have never once had a bad experience.
The chips and homemade salsa really are worth the trip by themselves. All of you reading this are saying, "Yeah, yeah. Every Mexican place does that though." I know that, and I am still saying that the chips and salsa here are worth the trip by themselves.
I have had several different items on the menu, but my favorites are golden enchiladas (the cheese sauce is just outstanding) and the bomb burrito. Having said that, I have never personally had bad food, nor have I been part of a group that got bad food. My mom really loved the margarita when I brought her with me.
I get the female server each time that I have gone (don't want to put her name out there) and she provides absolutely great service every single time that I have been here. I never have to ask for a refill and anything that I do ask for (more chips and salsa), she immediately goes and gets it. No waiting around while she does a mysterious task first.
The place is always sparkling clean and the prices are rock bottom (especially if you get the coupon at coupons4indy.com). I will continue to patronize this fine place and I recommend that you give it a go also.
While we didn't eat dinner here (just margaritas and chips) the salsa is worth the trip. Freshly made in-house with warm chips. Awesome!
My husband and thought this was one of the better Mexican restaurants around. We will be back
Great food, attentive service, nice atmosphere. It seems like there's an abundance of Mexican restaurants in the Castleton/Fishers area and some of them will disappear within a few weeks after opening. I'm hoping that's not the case with La Cabana! We stopped in this past Friday, were greeted promptly, and had chips and salsa shortly after we got seated. The chips were warm and salsa had a very "scoopable" consistency. We ordered two entrees - a taco salad and a fajita burrito. Both were generous portions. My wife was very pleased with the taco salad (with chicken) and had plenty leftover to bring home and make a meal the following day. I was thrilled with the chicken fajita burrito and will definitely order it again. It was packed full of fajita chicken, green pepper, and onion, and was covered in the typical melted white cheese. The service was attentive but not obnoxious. My only complaint...the booth where were were seated did not have any seat cushions (all others did, that I could see) so we were sitting a little low and sitting on bare wood (not very comfortable). Overall, we were very pleased and will definitely return.
I love La Cabaña! It is one of my family's and my favorite restaurants. It is always clean and the service is wonderful. The servers are friendly ("how is everything my friends?" Our server knows us because we come so often and we always have the same one) and always attentive about checking to make sure we have enough drinks and chips. And speaking of the chips, they are delicious! Crunchy, large corn tortilla chips, perfect for scooping up yummy cilantro onion tomato salsa.
It is often pretty busy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, but they still always seem to be pretty fast and attentive. Tonight was packed but we got in and only had to wait a couple minutes before someone saw us to seat us. I had the #21 combo--a burrito, enchilada, rice and beans (a change from my usual #18 burrito, taco, rice and beans, which my dad had) and it was delicious! The burrito and enchilada, which are both about the same size and both filled with ground beef and diced onions, were cooked perfectly and very tasty. There wasn't a ton of seasoning on the actual tortillas but they still tasted good and I think it probably would have taken away from the flavor of the rest of the plate. They were topped with delicious sauce though, which added to the flavor. The rice is very flavorful and cooked just right, with corn, peas and diced carrots throughout but not overpowering it. The beans are also very good. They have more of a mashed potato consistency but you still get some lumpiness from the actual beans. They melt cheese on top, too, which really adds to the flavor and texture. If you love good Mexican food I definitely recommend this place!
Every time my son and I have eaten here has been a very nice dining experience. Generous portions,my son has even made a meal from their appetizers. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because the service is not exactly quick. But you will enjoy their food.
We eat at La Cabana often and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious. The service is always fast and friendly. Tonight was no exception. I always walk out full and happy.
Great service. The food was excellent and served extra hot. I highly recommend the Fajita Taco Salad. We will definitely go back.
Awesome steak! Its so hard to find a mexican resturaunt that knows how to do steaks. Their margaritas need waay more tequila. Im not blaming the bartenders. Im sure the seem to be absent and unorganized management is demanding small pours.
Great service, quick food, and great quality!! Definitely one of the best I've been to in a while
Fastest service around and above all else the food is unbelievably good. By far the best Mexican food within a 15 mile radius! +the Queso is unbeatable and the margaritas are amazing
I go here every few weeks. I like their food and their salsa is among my personal favorites. It's not exceptional, but it is very satisfying and a good value.
We always enjoy la cabana! My husband, my family and I have gone to this particular restaurant many times over the last few years. The service is excellent, the food is great and the price is nice!
This is a great restaurant. The La Cabana team is always friendly and accommodating. Their queso is delicious. I love the chori-quesadilla and their tacos. In my opinion, this is one of the Best Mexican restaurants on the North side of Indianapolis.
