The food is amazing folks!! Don’t let the outside fool you! It will def be your loss! The water horse drink is absolutely amazing. I’m not a drinker but gosh I drank it like I drink my sweet tea an got a good buzz off two drinks.. their summer salad is amazing.. the building is so neat!!! One of my fave places !!
I was I Jackson for one night and stayed Army a nearby hotel.
I’ll just get to the point: Excellent service!
The margarita was very good. The wings were delicious! Such a great sauce with just the right amount of spice and a vinegary sweet taste.
I ordered the combo fajitas. Very good! Tender beef and chicken. All came out quickly.
The best part was the live music. I didn’t know there would be a band, and I was happily surprised. Can’t remember the name, but l stayed for two hours. Wonderful singer and musicians.
A really unique restaurant in downtown Jackson! This place had a great menu and awesome atmosphere. Lots of seating available upstairs and downstairs and a decent area outside. There are two bars, one upstairs and one downstairs. The music was great but it was very loud but still enjoyable. The joint was very busy when I went but we still got our food and drinks in a timely manner! I highly suggest giving this place a visit at least once!
I would eat here again. The waitress that I had along with my family yesterday were genuinely kind and helpful. She maintained eye contact and was respectful. The food was served nicely. Portions for the cost met expectations. The drinks were served with the right amount of ice. Overall, I would definitely go back here to eat again.
I definitely enjoyed the food. I ordered the chimichanga and I cannot complain. Try the fried broccoli with cheese and you won’t regret it. The Navajo chicken was tasty as well. The chips and salsa are crunchy and delicious. The mason jar filled with sweet tea hit the spot. The mashed potatoes were very good and chicken fried chicken is good. Service was good waitress nice and accommodating. All in all I say definitely swing by here if you’re in town. There is also a free musicians museum on the second floor. We didn’t catch the live music but I’m sure its enjoyable from that stage.
Visit during Jackson State orientation and this is the only nice restaurant there. And the food was great. The egg roll and ribs, salmon and the big juicy pork chop was sooooo good. Was happy I stopped before leaving.
The staff are BEYOND friendly and accommodating. Right as we were finishing up, our waitress noticed that I hadn't finished my cocktail, topped it off AND put it in a reusable, aluminum cup!! YAAAAAASSS!!!
Bottomless basket of tortilla chips and salsa - both, freshly made, on premises. You CANNOT eat just one!
The bartender FEARLESSLY pours.
The menu selections are bursting with flavor. The Citrus Chicken will MELT IN YOUR MOUTH.
And when you're done, go upstairs to get a lesson on some of the origins of the rich, diverse, musical history of Mississippi.
Food was not my cup of tea but it was still good. The atmosphere is great. We had a great server. Definitely a good spot to chill for a live band and drinks.
The history, atmosphere and beer selection get 5 stars! What a cool piece of Jackson MS history! And the physical menu is just cool as hell! Awesome happy hour deals!! I got the half order nachos which were as good as bar nachos get. Ordered the redfish tacos for my entree and was disappointed. The description describes the quintessential fish taco with mango salsa. But it came loaded with shredded cheddar and tasteless mango. I personally don’t believe shredded cheese goes on a tropical fish taco. The fish was a little dry and overall the tacos were meh. The accompanying Mexican corn with cojita cheese was good. I would definitely come back and recommend the restaurant just not the fish tacos.
