I went to Baron's Crab Stop yesterday and purchased a large crab tray and a large shrimp tray. Let me tell you both were absolutely delicious!!! I enjoyed the crab so much I sent my husband back today to get me another one. The crabs are very meaty, and seasoned very well. I highly recommend Baron's if you're looking for great crabs in Jacksonville FL.
I have only had the crab trays, but they are always fresh. I don't have to worry about getting crabs with a weird taste or texture. My sister said the same when she told me about them. I assume their cooked food is good as well. The seasoning on the crab trays is also on point. I bought their garlic butter this time. I put a little on my finger, and it is on point!!!! Recently tried their jumbo snow crab combo with garlic butter and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor of the crab mixed with the garlic butter is very addicting. I recommend getting is spicy. The staff are very friendly and seemed to really care about providing great food. The atmosphere of the place was very clean and organized. If you are planning on stopping here also get their slushies they are super tasty and refreshing. They paired perfectly with my meal.
