I want to shake the hand of the man who started this place. This is not a place to be health conscious or anything like that. I have to give this place a great review because everyone I know calls the food a "Mexican butthole of flavor". I call it, "Mexican food has discovered the deep fryer". The tacos are delicious, the sauce they use has a fine spice and a better texture and taste with the powdered cheese almost giving you a burst of cheddar whenever you bite into the taco. This place also has burgers, burritos, corn dogs, ice cream and so much more, but all I've had here is the tacos, the pocket burgers and burritos. The burritos have a nice crunch and the beef tastes really good. The pocket burger, I'm pretty sure is just taco meat on a bun with nacho cheese. It's almost as if they had a stoner contest to see who could come up with the best tasting plausible food and that won. None the less, if you're fiendish for a greasy taco, stop in.
Simplicity Made to Order. Whether it's tacos or nachos, a fast food establishment that deep-fries to order is okay in my book. Not too sure where I stand on the powdered cheese, but I'll leave that to be decided on another day.
I've been here twice. In A Tub is a pretty unique experience from a menu standpoint. Service is super friendly. I think the place has been here for a long time based on a local recommendation. The whole reason to come here is for the deep fried tacos. They're great. My second visit I brought my vegetarian daughter. You can do a deep fried bean taco, fried pickles and mushrooms. She didn't like the tacos but she liked the other fried foods. They do not sell T-shirts at this location and that is a crime. I really like the place. They do a nice job.
This place is unapologetically greasy, cheesy, and down right good. I understand why it has been around for so long. I loved my tacos and burger pocket. It is so old school, you know exactly what kind of food you’ll be getting as soon as you walk through the doors. I loved every bite I had. I can’t wait to come back.

First time I've eaten at this KC landmark. The tacos were delicious, the burgers loose meat and quite good. Everything was cheap, also, so really got good value. Really enjoyed the experience, even though it was getting late and almost closing time. Damn good tacos (the tops are fried closed, so it isn't a Taco in the traditional sense of a shell with fillings inside that you sprinkle sauce and toppings in).
My family and I were in town from Springfield IL for a volleyball qualifier for my daughter and we were searching for places to eat lunch at and we ran across this restaurant. Let me tell you this was a great place to eat at. The employee asked if it was our first time here and we told her yes and she took the time to tell us about the food they had. That was a great experience since we didn’t know about them or their food, and their signature powdered cheese was as good as she said it was….I highly recommend this place if you haven’t been here…. 2 thumbs up for sure!!!!

One of my favorite places to go when I'm up by the airport. They have the best tacos that are fried and have some crazy cheese powder . Yummy 😋
4 tacos and a pocket burger. That's what I crave when I'm super hungry and in the mood for classic, deep fried, mac and cheese powder tacos from an old school KC staple. Family that runs it is also awesome. 😁
Tacos & onion rings? This was not at all what I expected when I chose this place. I chose it because of decent ratings on Google maps but mainly because they support a cycling team. I went inside to get a better feel for the offerings and the order taker was very helpful. I had a standard taco and a beef, bean and cheese taco; both really good but the one with the beans was the best... really good taco. I asked if the rings were made in house and was told that they were not but were very good, I reluctantly went ahead and ordered them and they're by far the best frozen onion rings I've ever had; they were great! I'll definitely try this place again.
Quick service, very friendly staff, good food! Someone who had a drive through order left without their mushrooms and the staff offered us the mushrooms for free. Very delicious. Hot fudge sundaes here are exquisite
