The red apple diner offers a no frills family friendly atmosphere. Easy to find with plenty of free parking. Breakfast is served all day . Good comfort food at a reasonable price is nice but the friendly service makes it a great choice for a quick meal. Our waitress, Kim, was very helpful without hovering very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you Kim for making my first visit a pleasant one! Next time I'm visiting friends north of the river I'll be sure to stop in and try something off the lunch menu.
A small diner place thats packed on a late Sunday morning. Didn’t take very long til I got my table. The menu offers more choice than most restaurants. Their signature dish is the Red Apple Skillet so gotta order that for the first time. Man, the portion is big and best part is that it’s not too greasy or has way too much salt like many other places. Also ordered a Belgian Waffle and my choice of topping was strawberry and whipped cream. The waffle smelled so good the moment it was served. You can also order ham or bacon for the waffle if you like. I’d definitely go back and try other dishes on the menu!

Service was great. This is a true Mom and Pop local diner. Breakfast was amazing of course. 3 egg Meat lovers omelette for me. And it was delicious...plus a wonderful pancake. Then Mom had the Ham and Eggs Breakfast. It was great...gonna have to come back to try the fried chicken!
We stopped in at 10:15am...Well, my wife had biscuits and gravy which she loved, hash browns that were not really cooked enough, not browned. I had the mushroom and cheese omelet, which said "sauteed mushrooms"..these tasted like they were from a can,they were not browned in skillet at all.. I also ordered the hash browns,(needed cooked more) and a single biscuit(which was microwaved) because the top was super wet and wrinkled, I've nuked biscuits before lol, so I know. Wife's biscuits were covered with gravy, tops down, so she only had issue with hash browns really....waitress was super nice....so IDK, not a great experience for me, food wise. Others may love it.

Little stuffy on the atmosphere. Felt a little out of place. But the server was awesome, the dude was awesome. And the food was amazing. Can't fault the restaurant for the other patrons.

Not a bad place at all. The breakfast was good. Service was good. I had the French toast platter, it was cinnamon swirled bread, straight up bomb? The toast was delicious as well, all homemade!
Nice little mom and pop restaurant to grab a good breakfast. Prices are very reasonable and the food was good. The only hiccup was they gave us one order of over easy eggs instead of over medium. Sometimes kitchens get busy and these things happen. Every other menu item was cooked perfectly. Big thick slices of bacon and nice flully pancakes are always a favorite. My wife had chicken fried steak and had no complaints. It was cooked perfectly and the gravy was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Give Red Apple Diner a try if you're looking for a new place to eat breakfast.
Wow wow wow! Why did I wait so long to come here! Cozy family style restaurant with excellent food! I had the patty melt upon recommendation from the waitress.. BEST I'VE EVER HAD! My husband had the chicken parm and said he would definitely order again (better than Olive G!) The all day breakfast they were serving other tables looked phenomenal! Delicious restaurant that deserves more recognition! THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY!
I was visiting from Florida and looking for a good "diner" to have a late breakfast. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and arrived quickly even when it was busy. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next morning and were treated the exact same way! This will be my go to diner if ever in Kansas City again!
My neighbor and I had breakfast which was excellent! His boys had items that were not as good as expected. Overall, it was a great visit and will be there again.
