It's kitschy cool....opened in the 60s and I don't think it's been remodeled once. House Margaritas are better than average, so is the service. Food is what you'd expect for cheap Mexican.
Uh-oh! My food disappeared before I could snap a picture! Proof that it was good! (However, I will pass on the iced tea next time.) Nice, comfortable atmosphere. It wasn't busy or crowded when I stopped in for an evening dinner, mid-week. I am pretty sure the place has expanded since I was there last, many years ago, LOL. Everything looks great! Excellent table service, reasonable prices.
Use to be totally awesome place, then it dropped severely for a while, however, it's back to the way they use to be! Great food and they customize it for us. Love the hot chips and warm sauce 😋
We have been customers for over 50 years and love it as much as we did when we went there for the very first time. There was a period of time when it wasn’t very good, but those times have changed for the better. The sweet lady who greets us and takes our money when we leave always has a smile on her face. It’s always an enjoyable experience.
First time trying out this restaurant. We were there like 11:59am right when they were opening. Lol
It was delicious and cool atmosphere.
Soft chicken tacos were delicious.
Great Mexican food right off of Broadway. The price is low in comparison to some of the other places you’ll find downtown. The scene is nice inside, and the tv’s give it a little bit of that “bar & grill” type feel without being in your face.
The kids menu is one of the best I’ve seen in KC thus far. Always super friendly staff, haven’t had a bad trip yet.
Mom and I went for an early dinner. That made margarita was great! The price was higher than expected. We only had one anyway. It was really good! Waiter was great. We hadn't been there for yeeeaaars. LOL.
The food is good. I have been here twice and each time have had an outstanding server. However, I love chips and salsa and the chips are good but the salsa tastes like spaghetti sauce rather than salsa.
Small place, but very, very good. This is authentic Mexican food. The service was great from the hostess to our waitress. Our waitress was Lilly, she did an outstanding job.
