I randomly found this place while driving by. Can't believe it is open 24 hrs and there is an old school counter for you to sit at to order other food items. Got a dozen donuts holes and a Bavarian cream and a marble frosted donut. Pretty good and will be stopping by again when I am in the neighborhood.
Came here for my daughters birthday celebration! The staff are extremely sweet! Food is soooo yummy! Donuts are delicious! We left them a good tip cause they are amazing. Definitely coming here again! My daughter loved her donut as well. I got the sausage egg and cheese croissant and it is by far the best breakfast sandwhich I have had.
They always have a good selection and the staff are very friendly. I usually pick up a dozen for the folks that are working on the weekends at my work and they love it. My personal favorite is the Boston cream pie, with my second favorite being any of the jelly filled.
Amazing donuts, including usual favorites like Boston Creme, and good coffee, diner type seating. Reasonable prices at the time of writing. Parking space can be very limited at busy times. Service depends on the mood of the old lady at the front, but if you can focus on the prize overall, worth it.
UPDATE: still probably best donuts I have ever had. Not sure if it is a lack of sleep issue or mental health problems, but the old East Asian lady kept asking my wife if she had a son looking at our young daughters, as if daughters are less important. Someone get her a shrink lol
UPDATE2: new person serving, guessing maybe granddaughter of previous lady. Very pleasant and helpful. Upgrading my rating, but it is a lottery. The saying should be “life is like a box of donuts, you never know what you are going to get!” Donuts are still the best though!
Best donuts in San Diego!!! Found this place by accident because Randy’s sold out but so glad we did!!! Original atmosphere, nostalgic flavors, great customer service!!! NEVER CHANGE! New favorite donut shop!!!!
Best donuts in San Diego! These melt in your mouth just like Krispy Kremes except without the chemical aftertaste. Very surprised at how scrumptious these are and of their unique taste. I will definitely be coming back. I couldn’t even make it back home without eating all the six I got.
Donuts are FRESH and melt in your mouth. Taste good on the 2nd day as well as long as you pack them in a bowl with lid or ziplock! My brother bought these home and it was my first time having them. I will definitely buy again along with trying the croissant breakfast sandwiches 🙌🏾🤗
Everything is made fresh right here. Perfect (no-fuss) croissant breakfast sandwiches. Beautiful assortment of breakfast pastries. Our family loves stopping in for a quick bite. The owner and staff are very nice people and always make sure we leave smiling. Egg / cheese croissant (yellow cheese) and Strawberry/banana smoothie. Yummmm. :)
Was looking for a quick stop to just grab an go came across sunny donuts and thought it would be better than Starbucks or coffee bean. Well... I was right I ordered two egg cheese croissants and a couple donuts. I have to make my croissants to have a flaky/ crispy croissant sandwich but this place surprised me. The lady who attended me was so polite and nice, really good job 👌
Had the need for a 3a.m. donut run 🍩 and the fact that Sunny Donuts is open 24hrs; and was there for my donut 🍩 need with some fresh tasting donuts is pretty awesomeness and deserving of a Perfect 5 ☆ RATING in my book!
