This is a great! place to eat! Food is fresh and the employees are more than welcoming. My family has always been pleased with the service and of course the food.
Reasonable Price for a Lot of Food. I hadn't planned on eating out today, but after returning from voting early I got caught in some local traffic because of a horse driven caravan of travelers heading toward downtown Fort Worth on Azle Avenue. Traffic was backed up well over a mile. I decided to stop into the nearest refuge which happened to be Rosa's Cafe
The food here is always reliable and cheap. I can usually get filled up for less than most other fast food Mexican joints. They have a great salsa bar too, while most other fast food places sadly don't even have one unless you count the salsa packet bar.
I ordered something different than I normally would today. I had the (#10) smothered burrito plate. The burrito had ground beef and was covered with a mildly flavored red sauce.
On the side refried beans, rice, small side salad of lettuce and salsa and a couple of moist tortilla chips. This, like most of their plated items, came with two homemade flour tortillas. All of the food was good, improved upon with pico de gallo and chile arbol salsa from the salsa bar.
One thing has changed since the last time I was here. They no longer announce your name when your order is ready. You have to look at the monitor for your number. When it shows up, your food is ready for you to pick up at the counter. I didn't know this, so I think my food had been up at the counter for a little longer than I would have liked, because it was a little less than piping hot. Live and learn I guess.
The place is clean and surroundings are colorful. The only thing I didn't care for is the piped in mariachi music. It was so loud I couldn't hear myself curse. Everything else was great!
