Yama Sushi

The food is fresh and nice. Rolls and nigiri are good since the rice portion in each sushi is small and thin. Price for lunch is $30, dinner $35. They have parking right in front of the restaurant.

We've been here twice, both times when we had things going on at the convention center. It's an easy walk from there & the sushi is really good and fresh! I love that they have AYCE options. We did the lunch special with a salad, miso soup, and choice of 2 rolls for $30. It was totally worth it and a great amount of food. Really liked the What The Heck roll!

So many epic options! Amazing all you can eat sushi. Great vegan/veggie options! Loved the vegan roll and the teriyaki tofu the most♥️ and the sake (See photo) was amazing! Second time being back and it won’t be the last 🙏🏾

Food considered sub par compared to authentic Japanese food. The one time starred dishes were not bad, but the others were super poor, especially the grill (meat was tough). Ice cream was a little normal too. And servings for some salad stuff were huge. And rolls were big too. Prices were dinner even though we took it in lunch, due to the Juneteenth which should have passed too.

Wow! I could not possibly say enough about this place to convey how truly delicious it was! The hubs and I were at the convention centre for a conference and we went to Yama Sushi for lunch so did not get the AYCE option, yet ordered a la cart options that were so incredibly delicious. The hubs and I ordered 2 dishes to share. It definitely took a little longer to get our food than an average restaurant, but the wait was ever so worth it. The first dish we ordered was the Korean Ramen (k-ramen) and it was perfect. The broth was so very flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the veggies were also perfectly cooked, soft on the outside with a little bit of a crunch in the middle, they also tasted so fresh as if they had been picked right from the garden. The shrimp were also cooked perfectly, which is rare but so welcomed. They were flavourful and fully cooked, without being rubbery. The best part was that the bowl kept the soup hot for longer than expected! It was still super hot by the time we got to the bottom of it! The second dish we ordered was the Salmon teriyaki rice bowl and it was just as delicious! The rice was cooked perfectly and tasted (and felt) freshly made, it wasn't too sweet like some sushi rice. The vegetables were we're mostly the same as the k-ramen, with a few additions, but they were all so fresh and flavourful and cooked impeccably. The salmon was extraordinary, it was fresh and full of flavour, and it was cooked amazingly, it had a crispy outside and a soft flakey centre, even the skin was incredible and I usually hate salmon skin. The draught beer was fresh and tasted clean as well. The prices were almost low for the quality. Thank you Yama Sushi, we were thoroughly impressed and will absolutely be back on the next conference trip!
