I bought two of the large gift baskets and I had the best experience. The ladies were very polite and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and helped me make the right decision without being pushy like other stores. Claire was awesome in making the gift baskets and explaining everything that goes in there and she is an awesome person to talk to. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for high quality oil and vinegar and great customer service.

Craving a Mediterranean vacation but just can’t get away right now? As a birthday treat for my husband we came as a family for a tasting session to Under the Olive Tree, located in Tyson’s Corner Center, next to LL Bean. We not only learned to distinguish the flavors of each olive oil we tasted, but also how each varietal is harvest from farms all over the world, and that they vary widely in flavor just as wines do. We learned so much about the growing, harvesting, processing of olives into oil, and how to store it. They also carry herb-infused oils, vinegars, spices, and other items. We sampled the cinnamon/pear balsamic and fell head over heels as we dreamed of all the possibilities. Imagine an 18-year-old balsamic! The Beraud family owns and operates this beautiful store, and they are very knowledgeable and eager to educate the customer as to how to select oils and balsamic vinegars for all your cooking needs. Marie Claire was our sommelier and did a terrific job of guiding us through the session. So saunter Under the Olive Tree and sample olive oils from all those places you just don’t have time to visit right now: Italy, Australia, Greece, Spain, Chile (to name a few), for a delicious mini vacation - the experience is unforgettable!
