I love eating at Chars. Their burgers are simple, but done right. I would also go so far as to say they have the best fries in Lexington. Also good is the price, because it is very much affordable.
Lexington Good, Winston Bad. Solid, if not spectacular, burgers and hot dogs. This place has been around for a while, and was at one point part of a small regional "chain". There is a location of the same name in Winston that is as bad a fast food restaurant as I've ever been in, but that's another review.
They do good work here - dog is nice, if not world class; burger is good as well. Fries are not bad, service is good, place is clean and bright.
Standard diner style restaurant, but jas great value for money. The burgers are large, the fries are great and there is a good selection of deserts.
Food is really good for a mom and pop restaurant. Staff didn't seem as friendly this time but they were just getting hit with the lunch rush. I had to go back up because they forgot my hush puppies but they do have some of the best hush puppies around
Love the footlong hotdogs, and the batter dipped fries were delicious also.
At this present moment I am not here for food but rather picking my son up on his second day of employment from this establishment! I couldn't think of a better place for my son to start his working career than at a place that is our family oriented and caring about the youth and the worst ethic that they still upon them these days! In my 20 something years of living in Lexington North Carolina I really don't think that I can name one single bad experience at Charles hamburgers. Their food has always great with a home-cooked feel. Some of the best ice cream Sundays this side of the Mississippi just as long as you're not trying to order one on a Sunday cuz you will find yourself out of luck! Shores has been and will always be closed on Sundays for some days at a time for family! Come check them out you won't be disappointed!
