First time here on the 4th of July after having read the reviews for months. The Wok Inn is exactly the food that the town of Lexington is missing. The difference between a CHEF and a COOK. No Gordon Food Products here. Everything is fresh, nothing frozen and the taste proves it. We wanted to try both food fusions, we ordered the ribs, Mac n cheese and the Almond chicken with egg rolls. Hard to compare after sharing both which we liked better. The flavors were spot on, the creaminess of the Almond Chicken sauce to the Smokey flavor on the fall of the bone ribs. The Mac n cheese did not disappoint with full on cheddar flavors and the crispy toppings. Egg rolls, crisp and fresh with homemade dipping sauces were a surprising treat! Chef Sean is personable, funny and a true gem of a CHEF. This place is our new favorite. Thanks Chef! Can’t wait to come again when it is cooler and dine in the charming beer garden attached.
The egg rolls and sauces were excellent. I will get them every time! Everything is homemade with fresh vegetables. Our chicken was very tender and perfectly cooked and we preferred that over the pork which was too smoky flavored for our taste. Will go back again!
Oh, and portion sizes are generous. We ate the rest of our dinners for lunch today!
Stopped in Friday night for dinner. WOW! I was blown away with the interesting conversation I was able to have with Sean, the entire time he was cooking my food. There's "NO" MSG, all meats and vegetables are fresh in season from our local community. All of his sauces are made per his recipe and don't come via "GFS."
The Curry Chicken I had, knocked my socks off! There was no debate! It was truly CURRY Chicken! �
My husband had the beef and broccoli, � which he absolutely loved!
In addition, I purchased Lexington Fried rice, � � � � eggsrolls, and finally, the most flavor infused wonton soup we've ever had. Then for dessert, of course two fortune cookies!
Final message: Sean, we will be back. That's not a threat. It's a promise!
