One of the best experiences, anywhere, any time. Was a little leery when my daughter booked a "chain" restaurant for a family celebration. I mean, this is Chicago. We don't need to go to a stinkin' chain!
Well...
Let me get this out of the way: the food was all fabulous! NO complaints whatsoever.
But since food is only 50% of the experience for me, the environment and ambience matter a lot.
From the second we walked in the front door, the ambience and the service and the staff were the equivalent of that found in the finest NY restaurants.
I was floored. After all, this was a "chain"!
Three hostesses were so classy and so trained and so wonderful---handled our arrival and direction to table (we had a big party) seamlessly. We all felt so comfortable.
The 2nd tier wait staff were invisible and unintrusive---yet everything was handled.
Then came the rise of the curtain. Career server Seth Kayton appeared and it was a one-man theatre production the rest of the way. Classy. Skilled. Knowledgeable. He was a joy.
And he comped us dessert as we had a couple of big events we were celebrating AND took our picture and presented it to us. Mama mia.
And one thing I remember is that he took care of EACH of us individually and personally as he took care of the entire party. It was something to behold.
What a fabulous time we had. NO regrets. Cannot wait to return to Chicago.
Fantastic Service!. Every step of the way from walking in from the parking lot to the free dessert We were treated to the best service. Every single employee greeted us and did everything in their power to make us feel appreciated. Our waiter, Seth, was like a professor of food and wine! Sooooo knowledgeable and hilarious too; an absolute delightful evening!
Another Capital Grill, need I say more?. Ok, I will say more...............
We had a few non alcoholic drinks Virgin Sex On The Beach, Safe Sex on the Beach, Virgin Raspberry Daiquiri. The glass they use and the presentation can use some improvement but the taste of the drink were excellent. However, the Virgin Bloody Mary was rather a disappointment. If I am not mistaken, the Virgin Bloody Mary was mass produced and the other three weren't.
We had a very tasty lobster and crab cake. The corn and red pepper came with the cake was even better. Oysters and Waygu Beef were very fresh. We actually re-orderd another 8 oysters after tasting the first 4. The Porter House, Delmonico Steak were cooked to perfectly how we wanted it. Blue rare really was real blue rare.
Dessert were very good also. In general, the dessert are light but very tasty. Unlike cheaply made dessert, it has the taste that cake has but not the after taste and "weight". The espresso was still one of the best.

Outstanding Place. My wife made reservations here for our wedding anniversary. Apparently for an anniversary they go over and above what they normally do. We were shown our table strewn with red rose pedals. The server, Niko, brought complimentary champagne. What a great way to start. The luncheon menu has an option of picking one of three courses for $16. My wife chose Asparagus soup, which was outstanding. The next two courses was a Lobster roll with grilled mixed vegetables. I chose the Maine Lobster salad. I was amazed at how much lobster was in the salad. Very fresh crisp greens with the lobster in the center. The meat from the claws were set on top of the delectable mound forming and “X”. This salad was terrific. We enjoyed a Hess Chardonnay from Napa with the meal. The surprises continued as they brought a tray of complimentary desserts to cap of the fabulous lunch. We had another couple with us who enjoyed a salmon salad and a shrimp on rice dish. There was enough dessert for the four of us to share. There were fresh berries, a very light cream cheese cake made from Ricotta cheese with a sugar glaze top, fresh berries in a vanilla cream sauce, and, the very best of all, a flourless chocolate-espresso cake. The ladies were making yummy sounds which made them think about the scene in “When Harry Met Sally.” I expected the other diners say, “I’ll take what they’re having.” Without all the complimentary extras tied to the anniversary, this is an outstanding place to eat. With the additions it is over the top!
Best Filet Mignon. Classy atmosphere.. Even the bathrooms are impeccable and classy. Best filet mignon. Better then Ruth's Chris hands down!
Top Notch. Capital Grille will always be my favorite steakhouse. Not just because the food is excellent, its because they really go above and beyond in trying to make your experience memorable. From the buss boy's all the way up to management their front of the house staff is simply amazing. I highly recommend the Kona crusted Rib-eye, calamari, and their coconut cream pie for dessert. Enjoy
Best service by far.. This is my favorite steak house. Their wedge salad is by far and away the best. Great wine list. Great apps. Great desserts. They always hit their temps on my meat. Seafood tower is excellent. Service is above and beyond.

Top 5 steaks I have ever had and a very nice wine list. Con-not cheap by any means. Going to spend a min. of $50 a peson.

I had the Bone in Rib-eye chef recco. Wine selection was small but great recco from my waiter. My waiter Matthew R. Was amazing, they give you a business card type at the end and such a classy experience.
Steak was great, lobster crab starter was amazing and the cheesecake was great. The bread basket was lovely and I will for sure return. Ensure you have a reservation. :)
Have never been here before, but will definitely be returning. The staff at the front door and hostess were super friendly and welcoming. The hostess asked if we were there for a special occasion and we were there for my birthday. She said she would set up our table and be right back. To my surprise, they placed a birthday note and confetti on the table before taking us back! Our server, Ebony, was extremely friendly and attentive. It's always great when staff are able to list off favorite menu items of their own because it makes the whole experience more enjoyable. Ebony was quick to place orders and bring out fresh plates and clear used items from the table- which other establishments often miss. Can't wait to come back!
It was me and my wife's 1 year anniversary and she had NO clue I had put this dinner spot together on our list to celebrate. She and I were sooooooo impressed by the service, the food, and the environment. The ambience was so sexy and laid back. The lighting was perfect. Our waiter, Andrew, made us feel so special and the food went above and beyond. My wife enjoyed the lamb chops so much she wanted to go back the next day 😂. This is very much the perfect place to celebrate any occasion that requires romance.

OMG!!! Love this place. Friendly staff, awesome atmosphere and food is out of this world. They have a fantastic bar area, semi private rooms and main dining area. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu it’s all top quality food! I always feel amazing when I dine there. Definitely need to check this place out!!
Enjoyed a nice dinner with colleagues. Was looking forward to a great steak. Capital Grille did not disappoint. I ordered the sliced fillet with onions and mushrooms. We also ordered creamed spinach, potatoes, and mushrooms on the side. Also ordered an amazing bottle of Tahuan (Malbec) 2019.
A few minor observations. I noticed the waiter did not ask if there were any food allergies. He did not ask if any of us would like any cocktails to start the meal. I also noticed that the wine I picked from the menu was not the same year as the one served.
Minor details since the quality of the food was really excellent. Keep up the good work.
First-time visitor, chicken dish was awesome, and the risotto was perfect.
I had the roasted beet salad, which was awesome, I could have had a few more beets, but it was very tasty. The lobster crab cake was delicious and a good size. I loved the big pieces of lobster inside. I didn't eat it with the sauce it came with because it was flavourful enough. Drinks are a little pricey, but overall, it's a great place. I want to do lunch next time
An amazing dining experience for my wife and my second year wedding anniversary! The food was incredible, the service was amazing, and the staff was very friendly.
It has been a while since going to Capital Grill. My Birthday experience was great. The food was great, and our server Niko was amazing.
Great professional but friendly service Perfectly cooked steak. Seafood tower with lobster, shrimp and crab. Tables nicely separated. Great place for a special occasion. Be sure to make a reservation. It was busy on a Monday night.
We had a private room with 14 of us and it was very nice. There is a minimum charge for having it. Austin was our server and he was great! We had him before and requested him again.
