I just hit up this Mexican joint that's hands down, no cap, the absolute best in town.
Now, let's taco 'bout the food. It's not just food; it's an experience. The Birria tacos? Let me tell you, they're straight-up lit. Every bite is a flavor explosion, like a DJ dropping the hottest beats at a music festival.
Portion sizes? You won't be leaving hangry, that's for sure. This place is generous, like getting a bonus in your direct deposit. And the service? Quick and friendly, like your bestie texting you back in record time.
When it comes to spice levels, they've got all the bases covered. From "I can't feel my face" to "mild and wild," you choose your adventure.
This place isn't just the best Mexican spot; it's a whole mood. It's like when your favorite playlist shuffles to your top jams, one after another. If you're looking for the real deal, the Quesadilla, the whole food– this place is the GOAT. If you're a foodie with a passion for good Mexican food, you need to hit up this spot ASAP.
Food was great. Within 10-15 min of ordering our food was sizzling at our table. We ordered a variety of things from the chichimanga, taco dinner, steak dinner, and more. Also had a side of elotes and chicken tamales.
Everything was very tasty for a Halal Mexican restaurant.
The only thing that perturbed me was the automatic 20% gratuity. Almost 34$ for gratuity. I can see for a place with the right ambience and exceptional food in somewhere downtown Chicago with a view but not for a small restaurant with really no space to enjoy the meal.
great spot, has a very authentic feel to it. we ordered the Birria tacos and quesadilla. overall the food was great, highly recommend.
also this place is Halal
Great halal restaurant for trying out Mexican food. Defined recommend.
I recommend trying their steak tacos this were are favorite. We also their enchiladas and the meat we got their chicken. Those were delicous. For the tacos get their onion and cilantro instead of lettuce and tomatoes. Flavoring here was good. Rice and beans were a good filler. Their chips and salsa we’re good too. Their tamale were good to try if you haven’t ever had one. Customer service here were nice.
5/5 recommend
We just finished eating lunch on Christmas eve. Amazing food. We got two different types of tacos, a soup dish, steak, and fries. We got two different types of wings to go as well. Would recommend asking what the specials are, as they are very honest. Good service. Made sure everything was cooked to our satisfaction. Great with kids as well.
Good food. There food is hit or miss.I have been to this place three times. two times good food and then one time meat was so bland had no flavor or taste. Overall not bad. They just need to clean the restaurant area and organize it a bit. Looks too much clutter when you enter the restaurant
I went here with my mom and sisters post graduation and my halal Mexican food craving was fully fulfilled. Paul (who I think was the owner) was so incredibly kind and patient. He was there to help us whenever we needed help, answered our questions properly and just had such good energy. He saw that it was my graduation and told us he had a surprise for us after dinner—then brought us out the most delicious guava margaritas with a Chamoy rim YUMMM. His chefs have a magic touch because I swear I have never had food THAT good. My mom and I shared the steak fajitas which was perfect for two people! My sisters loved the steak tacos, and the chicken quesadillas. Their salsas are also phenomenal all three hit , and their elotes were soooo goood. Also they have the best refried beans I have had at any Mexican restaurant—I’m not kidding I was so surprised. I definetly will be coming back here with my husband next time to try more of the extensive menu.
The food is fantastic, but the normal waitress should get another place to work. She's not customer service friendly and has a negative demeanor. But the food is great.
They now charge a % gratuity, but just know that you don't have to pay it. You can still choose what you wish to tip, legally.
I have been multiple times and the food has been exceptional each and every time. the service is also great as they treat everyone like family. P.S... Highly recommend the Birria Tacos.
I drive over an hour for these birria tacos. Best. Ever. Menu prices have gone up recently and they don’t split checks unfortunately but this place is a hidden gem and truly underrated. The burritos are massive! Their drinks are massive as well. Best part is that it’s zabiha halal so it caters to Muslims.
